Senior: I have been attending LCA ever since I was in second grade. As a senior now, I’ve seen some benefits as well as some things that need to change. One thing I love about my school is the class sizes. With only 20 students in my grade, it helps us to connect to each other. I know everyone’s name, not just in my class but in the whole school, and everyone knows my name as well. Being in class where you know everyone provides a safe-feeling learning environment where you don’t feel judged. My class has always said, ever since elementary, that we are tight knit, like family who are always there for each other. I cherish that but that doesn’t make it perfect. There are parts of my school that I’d like to see change. My school struggles with money management. I think it would be beneficial for them to spend money on buying new textbooks because some of ours are outdated. New information has been discovered and it should be in our textbooks so that what we’re learning is relevant to us today.... Read 41 reviews

Yearlong service-oriented projects done by seventh and eighth graders have been happening for years, and Tarrey Banks and Scott Wallace, who co-teach the seventh and eighth-grade classes, said parents and community members know that whatever they donate will be put to use for a project at some point. A reputation has been built, Banks said. He hadn’t even left the showcase of last year’s project before people were asking him what the next one would be. Senior: If you're looking for smaller classes and more one on one time with a teacher, then this school is definitely for you. I've been here since its founding, and the bond I've created with both my classmates and my teachers will stay with me forever. It truly feels like they are family and that I've grown up with them, as well as watched them grow. The curriculum is outstanding and like no other, not only does it allow you to further your understanding on topics but also make you think about them long after class is over. The teachers are incredibly engaging and truly have your best interest in mind. The thing I find the absolute best about this school though is its flexibility and how if a whole class is struggling with something, they won't just move on but instead make sure each and every student understands. Parent: It's so incredibly hard to explain in a short paragraph how much we love EPS! Our kids have thrived in this school and other than the craziness of Drop-off/Pick-up time and procedures, there's nothing we don't like about EPS. All of our teachers have been top notch, communication is fantastic and the environment emphasizes strong family and character values.
