Senior: I've spent most of my high school career at McDade High School, and I would 100% recommend it. The ability to participate in multiple extracurriculars is a major benefit of a small school, and MHS leans into that. Senior: I really like Harper, I really enjoy the small class sizing and being able to know everyone in my class personally. I am able to participate in anything and everything if I wish because the school is so small. Although I do know that the only thing I would change is either the fact that what your last name is can help or hurt you, or that for a public school the dress code is ridiculously strict in my head. The main goal of the school is to not only provide a great education to students but to guarantee they all attend college. The school is at the center of a growing community; this, in turn, results in the vast amount of diversity it has. Parent: I was shock with the score. This school is great they are one of the top school to have the covid 19 down pack. They had summer school and was open on time for the new school year. My daughter has been going for 2 years and they are great. She has struggle with her other school but brooker t has take the time to get her the right help. Parent: In this challenging time of quarantine, many schools have temporarily shuttered, leaving their students unsure and unchallenged. Not ATI. The Academy of Thought and Industry has done an amazing job of transitioning to online instruction. As an innovative and progressive school, they’ve never been hampered by traditional education structure; this is really paying off now, when structure is out the window. My son has not missed any instruction time; ATI had an immediate plan in place to address distance learning as soon as the students finished spring break. Not surprising, given that the school already has strong integration with its other campuses around the country. My son misses seeing his friends every day, but he is genuinely enjoying his online instruction.
