Senior: West Nottingham Academy was my first boarding school and I have to say, I had a really good experience! I made friends really fast and everyone is so nice. They have you take classes for college readiness as a freshman, preparing for it and I think that is really smart. The classes are also small, so no one gets left behind. Senior: Avon Grove Charter is a good school. It is a very tight-knit community with great relationships being made all throughout. Academics are strong, teachers are very knowledgeable, and the administration tries to work with you as much as possible. Students have many options to take to get help and staff is always willing to help. This school is built on a small campus, limiting some sports, room for more teachers/students and parking. Each year I have noticed the administration takes further and further steps into bettering this school. Parent: We would easily rank this school five stars if it was based on teachers only. My main concern with the school is bus safety and bullying on the bus. I rank safety at two because I feel the bus and school should be included together as we are entrusting our children to them together. The academics are okay. The teachers try to give as much as they can, but as we all know public schools set the standards on how high or low you can go in the curriculum. Senior: I've been going here for 2 years, starting in Junior year, and I'll be graduating this spring. The school has exceptionally supportive staff members. They all care about us, and want to see us be the best we can be. Speaking as a student, there are some aspects that I would like to see change, but they are very minor things, such as adding art class back into the list of high school extra-curriculars. I have been involved in drama, choir, volleyball, cheerleading, softball, debate team, and teachers-aid at school, and I've had amazing experiences on stage, made memories on the field/court and at debate meets that I'll never forget, and made connections with elementary students that have really opened my eyes to how amazing and creative little kids can be. Parent: Our family has been with GSCS for 10 years (pre-K through 8th)! We've had a remarkable experience. It's a loving, caring, family environment, and both of my children love it. I'm very pleased with the academics, and my son is on track to go to a college preparatory high school program. Middle School Student: Overall, I enjoyed my time at Mount Aviat, all three years of it. The academics are amazing and will have your child not just ready for high school, but make it seem easy once you get there. Usually most middle schools don't allow students to have recess but all students PK-8 get around a 15-20 minute recess period. The one thing that did annoy me was all the restrictions on our Chromebooks. The school has an extension added to each student's Chromebook called "GoGuardian" which allows the schools administration to block websites, apps, and videos from the student. Goguardian is removed from the students Chromebook after that student no longer attends the school. Besides the restrictions, there is nothing I dislike about the school and I suggest it as an acceptable choice to send your child.... Read 13 reviews

Parent: Assumption BVM School is the home away from home for my children. I have had 2 children graduate and transition to high school very easily. Each was over-prepared for 9th grade! The teachers are passionate about their responsibilities- to educate the whole child, academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Parent: BCS is a wonderful private school that provides a strong academic education. The teachers are nurturing and maintain consistent high standards. I love the fact that the students are able to focus on learning with no distractions and come home excited about what they are doing. I don’t need to worry about having to get on youtube to understand the “new math” methods because BCS keeps it challenging, traditional but most importantly relevant. I credit the teachers’ creative approaches with developing my girls’ love of science and math. They would be ready for any STEM program at the high schools. Additionally, the art program is quite impressive. The teacher starts the kids early and focuses on true technique. The quality of work is quite impressive in their annual art show. Parent: I have three children at UCDS- pre-K, 5th and 7th. The education they receive is well rounded. Having the students do full participation means well rounded students. They learn to work with others and to stretch themselves past their comfort zone. I went to unionville Chadds ford SD and still remember when the kids from UCDS came in 10th grade. They were comfortable with public speaking and seemed so much more confident than my peers. Because of seeing this first hand I knew UCDS developed thoughtful well rounded students.
