Senior: Dublin Jerome High School has been a great experience for me! It is a very academically driven school that has definitely challenged me. They offer a myriad of different classes that can accommodate so many individual needs including their use of Emerald Campus, Tolles campus, AP classes, IB classes, honors classes, and CCP classes. Senior: I transfered from a small school to Dublin Coffman as a freshman student. I was nervous, but our school has a great inclusion program for new students called the New Student Group. We met regularly with our other new peers and our guidance counselors to make sure we were getting acclimated to a large, new school. The guidane counselors at Dublin Coffman are amazing! They are very accomidating and always make time for you. They are great commuicators. Dublin Coffman also has many opportunities for inclusion in clubs and peer groups. Coffman is very diverse and you are exposed to many different cultural backgrounds. It's a wonderful opportunity, especially for a student coming from a small school that is not culturally diverse. Senior: The school provides great opportunities for the people who really take advantage of them. People who are able to get ahead and take college classes while in high school can graduate with many college credits. However, there are many kids who get stuck and struggle to come up with enough credits to graduate. The school is not built for everyone. Also, the administration does not always support the kids in all their needs. Senior: I was very skeptical about going to a private high school when coming out of middle school. I went to a public middle school and I was not looking forward to leaving all my friends behind, wearing a uniform, and so much change. When I arrived at desales I could tell that the environment was different and unfamiliar. At first I viewed that as a bad thing. Over time I recognized that there is nothing to be afraid of. DeSales presents its students with a lot of work and at first I saw that as overwhelming. It did not take me long to realize that it is posible to accomplish goals that may seem out of reach. The school has places to go at all times of the day if you need help with math or writing, and the small class sizes mean that you can receive individual help from your teachers when needed. I am a senior now and I would be the first to say I have a few bones to pick with the school after four years. The price of school lunch went up this year. Just between us, I would do it again.... Senior: I really feel like Columbus Alternative High school prepared me well for college. It offers a lots of course and programs that are not offered anywhere else in the Columbus City Schools district. However, the physical school building does not align with the schools opportunities. The building is very old and gets extremely hot in the summer and deathly cold in the winter. There are also rats and roaches. Parent: My child has attended CPA from kindergarten, currently in 4th grade. Overall I really like the school, I feel comfortable with my child attending and being safe. They do a great job at trying to make learning fun and interesting for the students, especially when it comes time for state testing. Senior: I came to this school my junior year (currently a senior) and I love it. The faculty are all amazing and truly care about each and every student. The only downsides I would mention are mostly due to the small size of the school. I enjoy having smaller class sizes, but a limited amount of students also means less available classes to take, like AP classes or electives. The social climate can also be difficult to adjust to, and students can be very cliquey, but the friends I have met have been really great. Overall, very happy I made the switch!... Read 70 reviews
