Senior: In general, I had an excellent time at Hudson High School. The school spirit was amazing and groups of kids gathered for all different types of events. School dances, athletic events, and school clubs were consistently attended and the energy was always positive. The academic experience was very good because I learned how to apply certain material to real-life situations. Although challenging at some points during the year, I think the school's academic program was the right balance to prepare me for my future. Hudson taught me how important it was to be connected with the outside community. Great programs allowed many students to get involved inside and outside of the school. I also enjoyed the way that the administration encouraged students to try new classes and outside activities. There were many opportunities for all sorts of students who had interests everywhere. Senior: Because The Elms is so small, you can build meaningful and close relationships with your classmates, as well as the teachers, and each class is very engaging, and the teachers are easy to talk to, and work with. there is a wide variety of fun clubs, school traditions, sports, and weekly school-day activities. Senior: As a transfer into Hoban high school it was one of the best decisions of my life to date. The education that I am receiving is top notch! Junior: Me choosing to Attend St.Vincent- St.Mary has been one of the best choices I made. From the first day, I walked into the school I got adapted to it. The school is very family oriented. Everyone is accepted and there is a place for everyone. Everyone at the school is helpful and very supportive. The staff also want the best for you and they push you to your highest potential. Senior: I like the atmosphere of Revere High School and how everyone is encouraging for us to do better. When we students need to ask questions, our teachers try their best to help us in any way they can. The teachers are very helpful as well when we ask questions! In addition, the counselors at Revere High School are phenomenal! I like that I can talk to them without feeling nervous. Senior: I love how welcoming and warm thr atmosphere of the school is. Teachers and are very kind, along with most students. When you step into the building you can really feel how different it is from other schools. I feel more comfortable to be open and myself at CVCA than previous schools I've attended. One thing I would like to see change is more diversity. Currently the school is lacking in that aspect. In terms of diversity, racially the student population is 90 percent White. People of color are minorities in the school. It would be nice to see more ranges in culture and back ground in the school. Senior: Bio-Med is a great school. They create a community of high schoolers that is unmatched. We become like a family even with the pandemic stealing a full year of our school. We are a project-based school which is helpful in readying us for the world to come. My problem-solving strategies are unmatched in my internship. But the change that I would want to see is going back to the old ways. BioMed has changed in the time that my class has been here. We used to focus on the class being a class together. Senior: My experience attending Akron Early College Has been extremely positive and has allowed me to get a massive head start on the next chapter in my life. Akron Early College High School or AECHS is geared towards those who will be 1st generation college students from their families. The school does accept those who don't fit this criterion but are not given priority. AECHS is a school all about community as it sets up its learners for college by integrating college classes into their high school schedule. Being located in the Polsky building, students have the opportunity to attend college classes while on campus. With the end goal for students to graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate's degree, the faculty does an amazing job of monitoring students' academic process and supporting them through it. Junior: I have been very happy with my experience at Woodridge High School. It is a smaller school, but I feel I have had several good opportunities come my way. Our teachers truly get to know their students and are vested in their success. It is really a tight community. Whether it is a home football game, collecting for Tag Day, or doing one of many fundraisers - the whole community pitches in and helps. Woodridge offers a myriad of sports, activities, and organizations. We continually have a presence at state competitions in sports, FCCLA, choir, and band. I know that my teachers, coaches, and counselors are always responsive to me - even outside of school hours. I will always treasure my time at Woodridge. Parent: One of my kids has went to Fishcreek! Overall all of there teachers where nice and really kept us up to date on our kids progress! The school is also very nice and kids are well behaved! My kid loved going to school to Fishcreek and I’m glad they went! Definitely consider but, the neighborhoods around Fishcreek are mostly expensive and filled with upties (except for Cresswood and Hunting Hills) if that’s not your thing... Read 2 reviews
