Senior: Ever since being in Blackstone Valley Prep, I felt like the education was very focused on teaching us things that we would really need for college. Compared to other schools, the education here is advanced and prepares the students for college. Not to mention that the school accepts students from about four different cities. I've met a lot of friends throughout my middle school and high school career. The people here are kind and accepting and there isn't much fights compared to other schools. The size of the school is relatively small compared to other schools as well, so it is a lot easier to get accustomed and receive help from teachers. The only thing I dislike is the new education system utilized called the Personal Learning Plan. However, students do receive a laptop to use in and out of school with no cost. Other than the system, I enjoy the school.

Senior: Cumberland High School prioritizes the success of their students, and it is shown clearly through their teachers, staff and curriculum. Many of the teachers there I have found truly care about their students and strive to help them succeed. One example is the pathways that are offered to students to help them be prepared for the career of their choice. Another example is the career and college fairs they provide to students to help them explore their options as they embark onto the next chapter of their lives. As a student I felt as though they were really trying to help me be the best I could be. Many teachers, I have found, were not always grading based on outcome, but mostly graded based on the effort made by the student, which encouraged me to continue working hard.
