Junior: Great student body and involvement! We had a very supportive administration who helped our seniors all the time even when busy. The teachers are all great and it being a private school with a smaller student body helps you build relationships with your favorite teachers! Alum: Young Americans Christian School (later referred to as "YACS") lives up to its advertisement of college preparation. Education is general, but it is centered around the Christian worldview. YACS is a pretty small school (my graduating class had around 45 people in it), so it falls behind in some categories, including clubs and activities, sports, and electives. The school lacks "class" diversity, which may be a consequence of the price. During my stint at YACS (7th-12th grade), I made good relationships with teachers and staff, served in various capacities, and learned a lot from the underlying culture. Parent: Great School! Love this school. Teachers are amazing and my kids love it. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a good Christian School. You honestly feel like family here and if thats how you want to feel, go to Peachtree Academy. I love this school so much. The teachers and stuff are super kind and helpful. They have a lot of sports and clubs and stuff like that, that many people would enjoy. Alum: My Heritage High School experience was a 10/10. Throughout my 4 years at that school it was nothing but a positive experience. I had so much fun whether if it was in school or doing extracurricular activities. My ninth grade year was a little bumpy. I was trying to find my place in the school and within myself. My tenth grade year, I joined the peer leading group and I started to play soccer. My tenth grade year was overall one of my favorite years. In eleventh grade, it was totally virtual, and I really didn’t like it and felt like online learning wasn’t for me , but my teachers at heritage made sure I had all the resources i needed for me to pass. My senior year was a fun experience. We had senior activities such as the senior field day, parade, and more! They made sure we had enjoyable activities and more. Senior: Out of all 4 years attending this school I will say Rockdale is a great place to learn! The teachers are so dedicated to the students learning and I love it. There’s never been a time where I needed help and I didn’t receive it. My teachers use to host tutorials for an hour after school and they even use to do something called credit recovery so we could make up a credit if we failed a class! Rockdale is a great school and if anyone is considering sending their child there I say do it. Nice well staff and it’s highly protected. We have our own police officers from the county that stay posted on school grounds at all time. We also have school security Officers who are each assigned to one specific lot( whether it’s teacher or student) to ensure that we are safe at all times. The janitors are so respectful and always come to rescue, the lunch ladies always speak and smile. They show up to work proudly! And the administration is awesome. Thank you Rockdale! Parent: eing new to the Rockdale school system I was unsure what the experience would be. So far Pine Street Elementary has made Me and my child's welcoming into the community fantastic. The teachers are awesome and I must say that they communicate accomplishments and concerns (if there were any) and that is a really big plus. When you step on the campus you get a since of pride. The school is newly built and they do a great job with the up keep. Every week it seems like the children have new activities that they are able to participate in and I love the fact that my child really like the food selections they have at school. Pine Street and its gifted program is really setting a standard amongst the Rockdale school system wanting to keep the children engaged. Senior: Salem High School was a great experience for me. Being here for 4 years have changed my life and I’m thankful for it. When I first came there, I was a shy kid and very unhappy in my life until I went to so Salem. When, I went there I decided to try Football and it was the best decision in my life. Joining that program changed me physically and mentally. The program made me ready for college and will be attending Reinhardt university to play college football. The teachers and administration really helped me and made my 4 years a lot easier. I would have never though I have this many friends and great support system through my 4 years. Parent: GCA was very helpful and accommodating when my children came from studying overseas. The school system was very easy for the children to adjust to, and testing before entrance placed them in the right course of study. Parent: I love this school. Alpha Omega was an answered prayer. I googled private schools and toured many around the Covington area, and Alpha Omega stood out to us the most. Very welcoming, and the staff was easy to talk to and answered our questions. We gave them a chance, and we are thankful we did. Our son is excelling there and comes home happy now.
