Alum: Gull Lake provided many opportunities for students who were willing to commit to their academics as well as the various extracurricular activities that the district offers. I really enjoyed the option and encouragement of taking AP classes and exams which has helped me immensely in starting my college career. I thought that the teaching staff was overall committed to teaching and guiding students towards success in all sorts of postsecondary options. I think that the district already does a good job of teaching study skills, but of the things I would critique would be putting even more emphasis on study skills as well as life skills (financials, taxes, personal wellness, etc.).... Alum: Although from the outside, the school looks rather bland, it really is the people and experiences that come from the wonderful four years spent there. Even though Kalamazoo Christian is a small school, there are many activities that are available each semester. I engaged in basketball, tennis, theater, band, and the National Honor's Society. The teachers really get to know you and they want you to succeed. I made many memories in that building: Good and bad memories, but I would never change them. Parent: Our daughter expressed to us that she wanted a change of environment (from her public school) and Heritage has provided exactly what she needed. She had gone to a public school since she was in preschool. But the high school atmosphere became too much for her. We visited Heritage and our daughter knew this was where she wanted to be. She has been challenged academically as well as spiritually. I have seen her grow in her relationship with Christ and has started to develop friendships that she has much needed! Alum: Galesburg-Augusta High School was an amazing school to attend. I as an alumni loved going there and all of the different opportunities I had. Senior: I found that a small school like Climax-Scotts was good because I was able to know almost everyone and build good relationships with my class but when It comes to the amount of classes offered and extracurricular the school is less than perfect. In order to get the higher classes such as physics and chemistry I had to go to a community college nearby. The current principle and academic advisory are wonderful! Alum: My experience at Endeavor was extremely great! I wasn't all about uniforms, but it grew on me after a few years there. What i like about the school is that they are there to help students achieve, even the ones who need extra help. I needed special attention, and they had teachers who can work with you one-on-one with you and help you grow and be ready for middle school and high school. I love all the teachers there. I also love how they have core values and even a school creed to live by. What i would like to see change is for them to build a high school. They have an elementary and middle school in one building, but Endeavor is such an amazing school that there should be a high school so that parents can still keep their kids in the charter schooling.... Parent: Our experience at St. Augustine Cathedral School has been outstanding. The teachers, staff, and administrators are beyond exceptional. They are organized, attentive to the students, easy to communicate with, and a blessing to many families. The pandemic has only solidified our belief that this is the best school for our family. From the beginning, when the school quickly reorganized to move to online learning within days of the shutdown to operating in-person learning for the entirety of the 2020-2021 school year, their careful attention to safety, communication, and high standards have been impressive and appreciated.
