#150 Best Private High Schools in Georgia
Southwest Georgia Academy
Alum: Don't let the few negative reviews fool you. They likely come from parents who stirred up controversy in public schools before failing to stir up conflict at SGA. The no diversity claim is FALSE. There are ethnic minorities enrolled as students, and minority staff, too, is present. SGA has a non-discrimination policy. They have for years. I'm a former student, and there were minorities present then. There are more now.
Academics...SGA has produced leaders in various fields: agriculture, education, law, medicine, politics, and religion to name a few. SGA has higher than normal testing scores, and just last year
a large percentage of it's small graduating class was accepted to UGA. UGA doesn't accept students, unless for sports, without a high SAT, high GPA, and a record of extracurricular activities.
The school has 415 students. The number listed on this site is wrong. And a strong record of state titles in sports and literary speaks louder than the lies posted on this site.... Read 12 reviews
