Junior: What I like the most about Pulaski Academy is the level of education that you receive during a person's time here. The curriculum is high level, as well as the classes. I also like the variety of classes that one can take. For example, there are a large number of art classes at the school, but if you are not into that, there are plenty of other classes such as varieties of math, computer science, and science. The community at Pulaski Academy is also great too, as the school's goal is to act as one big family. However, there are some downsides to going to this school. To start, some social aspects can be hard when you are with other people not from your school, as Pulaski Academy has a reputation of being a rich school for primarily white students, which does not sit well in today's society. Overall, students that attend here tend to be disrespected due to the school they go to. Overall though, the school provides a great education system that will help me succeed further in my life.... Senior: My experience with Central High School has been wonderful. I have met so many different people due to the diversity at Central and I have gotten the opportunity to make lots of great friends and connections at this school. Central has a great variety of clubs that cater to all different types of people and hosts many events that offer volunteer hours for students. Not only are clubs available but the school also offers after-school tutoring and assistance for students in need of assistance. Central High School puts together a Black History Month performance every year which successfully educates students on African American traditions and lifestyle. Although Central is an amazing school, I would change the fact that the building is not the cleanest it can be. Central is an old school and is in need of more maintenance with ceilings, floors, and walls. Junior: The best thing about LISA Academy North MHS is the classes. I like that you can choose a career pathway to follow and that advanced classes are accessible. The worst thing about the school is the people. At the end of the day, not everyone is going to get along, but teachers and students alike have horrible attitudes at this school. Alum: My experience at Baptist Prep was unlike most high school experiences. I enrolled in their program for my senior year and everybody was so welcoming to me! Baptist Prep is a small school, so you get to know everybody really well. I definitely felt a close connection with my teachers, coaches, administration, and fellow classmates despite only knowing them for a year. Baptist Prep offered me an education that is hard to come by and I am grateful for that. Another thing that I enjoyed while attending school was sporting events. Every Friday night the atmosphere at football games was electric. Basketball games took it to a whole different level. Every Tuesday and Friday at baptist you knew it was game day. During the game, students, teachers, parents, and alumni would meet int the gym for one of the best high school basketball atmospheres in central Arkansas. Senior: I have had a great experience at Catholic High. There are lots of resources and opportunities to be challenged with and excel academically with, so I feel well prepared for college. There is a real sense of community with your classmates, and you have a bond with anyone who has ever been there because of the many experiences and traditions you will share. My favorite part about Catholic is the teachers, most of them at least. Junior: Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock is an incredible school in terms of academics, faculty, and student body. Being a college preparatory school, each of the classes is designed to get you ready for college, whether you take regular, honors, or AP. There are also plenty of fun and engaging clubs to join. The faculty at MSM are incredibly caring and attentive with the students in a way that creates good connections. The way they design the classes makes for an active learning environment. The student body is incredibly close and accepting. As an all girl's school, the term sisterhood correctly describes the Mount, with students forming relationships with fellow students very easily. Everyone cares about one another, so the student body is an incredible support system. One of the only problems is a lack of diversity, however, there are many clubs and student associations that allow for students of minority groups to connect and raise awareness of any social issues that may exist.... Senior: At eStem, I enjoyed the company of my classmates and faculty. The people there make you feel like you are a family and are apart of something big! I had a lot of fun in and out of the classroom because everyone tries to encourage you to do your best. It is so easy to be involved within the school because there is a variety of sports, clubs, and activities you can be in. I had wonderful teachers who pushed me to work harder and helped me when I was confused. Senior: Overall, the school system helps the student grow and learn many life skills. It effectively prevents bullying. The wide range of clubs and activities can open students' minds to discovering new career options or interests. They include many STEM fields and interests. Teachers support your passion and lend a helping hand on rough subjects. The lack of bullying is fantastic, yet, the school needs to adjust their homework schedules; it can become overbearing to a few students when they can also be taking AP courses. Middle School Student: Their academics are outstanding, perfect for college readiness! They do a very good job, engaging with students and making sure everyone has a chance to learn. Diversity is also a big thing here. The teachers are nice and welcoming. They have a big majority of different clubs. Senior: My first time ever going into High school was in my ninth grade year. All my life before then, I had been home schooled. It was a tough transition, but when I was finally able to adjust to the cultural, I loved it! I love how all faculty and staff are so supportive and will help any student with a drop of a hat. I have a counselor who is so helpful, she helps me apply and prepare for college. I love how much the cultural is focused on Christ as we are all unified as one school and family. It was so easy to get involved at Southwest. I am in Student council, Worship team, competition choir, Softball captain and a teachers aid. I'm thankful for my school. It's not just a school to me, it's a family and I'm thankful for that. It's been amazing to join Southwest Christian academy.
