Alum: Martinsville High School, for me, had its ups and downs, but overall prepared me well for college. Martinsville, being a smaller, less-diverse town, with limited access to resources for students in the past, has a decent sized population of students for its capacity. While it seemed like my high school set some its focus on certain aspects of education more than others, I believe Martinsville is heading in the right direction of providing more opportunities and a wider range of education in different fields. I know this because my younger brother, a freshman at Martinsville High School, has told me about his classes and extracurricular activities that did not exist even a year ago. Even though I just graduated in 2019, it seems like Martinsville is pushing for bigger and better things every year.
