Parent: Our son went to Williston last year for a repeat junior year. Though his public-private high school in Vermont offered ample opportunities, the Covid experience had impacted his academic sequence and experience. He'd also come to realize Vermont's competition levels and potential for exposure didn't align with his aspirations for next-level play. Williston came well-recommended by a college friend whose son had been their for a few years, especially for its community. Even more than meeting our expectations for the sports, we were thrilled to see the community and academic experience energize him to new levels. He thrived with connections to students from around New England, the country, globe, and local community! We are thrilled with his academic interest and relationships. He is extremely excited to return for senior year, and I encourage any family seeking a prep experience to look at the school!... Read 124 reviews

Senior: I loved the community feel. It’s a smaller school but the relationships you build are so close knit and everyone is so kind. The only hard thing is many of the teachers promote self teaching and lots of homework is given but I feel it has prepared me tremendously for college. I had such a great experience here!... Parent: We love Montrose School for our middle school girls for so many wonderful reasons. The positive school environment, the support provided to the students and the excellent faculty who care deeply for girls. Due to the low student - teacher ratio - teachers get to know the students very well and encourage excelling students to expand and go deeper or provide extra help for students who need it. The combination of excellent instruction with self study & self reviewing of their homework has worked well for our girls to reinforce their learnings. Of special note is the mandatory class for all middle-schoolers called "Habits of Mind", which teaches students how to form healthy learning habits, manage stress, importance of sleep, etc. Excellent learning for young and old alike! This was our first year at Montrose and making the switch has definitely been worth the time and effort. Healthy learning is priceless!... Read 74 reviews

Parent: This school is an absolute gem with a robust curriculum curriculum including performing arts, STEM (with an exceptional Maker-Space), and a dual-language and social justice component! The experienced teachers are amazingly creative and inspiring. The school community is welcoming and became life king friends. Affordable to all as well. There is a robust after-school program with many choices, as well. All 3 of my children attended.... Read 7 reviews

Freshman: 2021-2022 was my first year as a high schooler and I would say Elizabeth Seton High school made the transition better than I expected! I first learned about the school through a friend's older sibling. I toured the school for the first time. My first impression of the school was great and very welcoming! A few of the then seniors talked to me about the school itself and I almost instantly loved the woman-empowered environment around the school. The idea of an all-girl school at first did not thrill me but now I can definitely say it was a great decision! The school offers many inclusive clubs and sports. I joined the soccer team before the school year began and met amazing people. Even if soccer isn't your thing, they also offer basketball, swimming, and many other sports. It's not all sports based though! There is also a robotics club, book club, equestrian club, BSU, theater and so much more. Seton does a great job of being inclusive and the diversity in the school is amazing!... Read 314 reviews
