Parent: I can’t praise DME enough. This school really is amazing and it’s due to the staff there. The Principle(Ms Buchko) is a great listener & great with all of the students. She’s never too busy to help anyone in need. The secretaries will smile when you walk in and The custodian (Mike), I’ve seen this man put his mop down to talk to a student who was having a rough day,he asked if students wanted to help him paint a backdrop for last years fifth grade musical using his own paint &recycled boards.He also has games during lunch to help 1 graders learn their spelling words.They have a great counselor that helps students cope with their emotions. My son has benefited from Mrs Bellamy’s strategies. For being under tremendous pressure the teachers are tops & truly love their students & want them to succeed. Alum: Amazing school! With all the different programs and electives they offer, they sure do a good job with helping their students find out what they're truly interested in. I found a great interest in their radio station and now I go to a wonderful university where I'm pursuing the communications field. Crown Point High definitely has that reputation that makes universities turn their heads! They have very intelligent, kind, and bright teachers and staff at Crown Point, too. Freshman: What I love about my school is that I’m being challenged every day, that I can use my God given talents and utilize them by singing in a choir, playing saxophone in a band, play volleyball, basketball, golf and participate in contests among schools. Middle School Student: My experience at LMS has been pretty good so far. The teachers are very nice and they teach very well. I have learned a lot from all of my teachers. The extra-curricular activities are great, there are quite a few choices to choose from. The students there can be iffy sometimes. Senior: Illiana Christian school has really changed my perspective on God and how a child of God should live. I love that they involve Christianity into our everyday learning. Each and every one of the teachers are a blessing to the students. Though the workload may be heavy, the teachers are always willing to give their students the best support needed. They also are very interested in actually building a relationship with the students, which makes Illiana even better! Every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday we have Chapel, where about 6 seniors lead a new skit about God. Every Tuesday and Thursday the students have club after second period. Students are able to make their own club if they have participants and a teacher to sponsor it! Senior: I have a very good experience with Heritage Christian High School. The classes that are offered are challenging but will prepare students for college if it's in thier future. The teachers are very willing to help students who struggle or have questions. It is a very good environment between the students. Our school offers extracurricular activities such as sports and robotics. This is a great way for students to show their talents outside of their schoolwork. Senior: Hanover Central High School has been an amazing environement for ciricular and extraciricular purposes alike. I've participated in over 12 Honors and AP classes, as well 10+ extracirriculars, and I've yet to find an environment unmotiviating or a staff member unhelpful. My teachers have been phenominal educators, examples, and friends, and our staff have always acted students-first. If I had to name one concern, it would be the atmosphere of the school. I know rules for the school come from administration, but their enforforcement always seems to favor order over hospitality - not to disenfranchise the importance of this priority for rules critical to safety and integrity of the learning environment. However, phone policies and parking rules are always barked out; if you parked in the wrong place because the snow covered the "Visitor" labeling, you're met with consequence and a threat of towing at your expense. Trinity Lutheran School is a wonderful place that will guide your child as they grow in their faith and give them a safe place to learn where their gifts and talents lie. The school staff and faculty truly become an addition to your family and will do their best to meet your child's needs. Being a smaller school, there are some limitations, however, their heart and purpose make this a place you need to consider for your child! I have two children currently enrolled at Trinity and one in the public high school. My oldest is thriving in his AP coursework as he approaches his senior year.
