Senior: Moorestown Friends is as advertised, inspiring kids to perform academically, to pursue interdisciplinary study, and to break the mold of a student fitting a single archetype. It's a place where most are committed to producing results: the girl at the top of the class is also a double varsity athlete, AP art student, etc. MFS does a great job of creating a culture that rewards success. However, it can be exhausting. MFS can be difficult for high-achievers experiencing burnout. One thing I will say is that the emotional strain placed on a student to perform may impact their mental health. It can be exhausting to perform out of fear of failure, and the mental health resources are a tad subpar. Our school counselor is a wonderful woman, but ultimately it comes down to "I-know-you're-depressed-but-your-grades-are-good-so-stick-it-out!" Sophomore: I love attending Nazareth. Teachers care about their students and have engaging topics in their classes. There's many clubs and sports and the girls that attend here have a great sense of school pride. The school real cares about our mental health and they prioritize us. A counselor is always available to a student throughout the day. I love the new block scheduling for students.It optimizes the students attention span and they include much needed breaks to avoid students to feel burn out.Class sizes are usually small and it leads to deeper connections between students and teachers.Food is great and staff is friendly.Art and Music is vital for our school community. The Music Department has played in the Vatican in Rome, and will traveled to Ireland in summer of 2022. Parent: All 3 of my children have had the privileged of starting their academic life in this school. The teachers and staff are amazing - helpful, kind, smart, resourceful, creative and loving. They respond so positively to not only their student but the parents as well. Because the student-to-teacher ratio is low, there is more individualized learning opportunities. Those students that need more guidance AND those that need more academic challenges are both given equal attention. Senior: Franklin Towne Charter high school is a great college preparatory school. They make sure all students are on task with their education and extra curricular activities. They try their best to give their students as much support as possible. This school gives out help to any student in need. Teachers stay after school to help the students that are falling behind so that they will better understand content and assignments. Franklin Towne is a safe environment for students. They have security around the school and they also have security in the school. Security does random school bag checks to make sure that no one is carrying a weapon with them or any substances. They also do random metal detector tests on students to insure everyones safety. Every once in a while Franklin Towne brings K9 dogs to sniff out students lockers to make sure everything is right. Senior: Holy Cross Preparatory Academy High School was my first high school choice because of its kind, helpful, supportive, well-educated teachers, facility, and staff along with its similarity to a college classroom experience and scheduling. The students' interactions among the teachers, facility, staff, and with each other are super special because everyone is so supportive of each other and helpful. We are family. When I arrive at Holy Cross each morning and leave each afternoon, I know I am in a safe and secure environment. Overall, being a Senior in fall 2021, I know I am going to have an amazing experience despite the rules and measures set in the school because of COVID-19. I like the block scheduling that Holy Cross has because you have only four classes at a time which brings less stress upon me. Senior: Northern is a farm school. Not in a bad way, since their stem program is amazing. But saying that, sitting here in my engineering class and looking out the window and come face to face with our pigs, chickens, and ponies is an interesting experience. The wide array of electives and clubs gives students enough chances to at least get an idea of what they want to pursue later in life from the FFA program, AFJROTC, band &theatre, and then to Robotics I’d say our school is actually very nice academically. The faculty and teaching staff tend to be very helpful and have good relations with the students. Always willing to help academically or offer advice for outside of the classroom.... Junior: I have been at School Lane Charter School since I was in 2nd grade and I am not a junior in high school. I commend School Lane for always seeking ways to better the experience of students. You can see that each year is a year to reflect on the past which I like. The high school IB Campus is very small so this gives teachers the ability to get to know their students and understand what the best environment will be to help them succeed academically. The academic portion is very rigorous and this is taught school wide. REFLECTING is a big thing at school lane which is great because how are you gonna grow without reflection? I wish that the voices of students were heard more though. I wish that more opportunities were given to students to grow socially. I feel that many students feel that their voices aren't heard. Niche User: If I had known about Life Center Academy sooner, both of our kids would have attended it instead of another "Christian" school. The administration and staff really treat it as a ministry so the Jesus factor is tenfold any other school we encountered since moving to South Jersey. The teachers are amazing in their care for the students and not just academically, they go way out of their way to help the kids. The sports facilities are the best in SJ and the coaches are all men and women of God, not just coaches. Alum: I attended Ryan for my senior year only and wished the entire time I came my freshman year so I could get the full experience. The school itself holds so much character and all the administration do their best to make the students feel accepted and happy. I say every school has room to improve and among renovating the locker rooms and adding a track to the back (which are in the process of being done!) the biggest problem I had was the condition the bathrooms went through with many crazy students, but other than that Id say the school is a 10/10! Senior: Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls is the best school ever! I have never loved a school more than this. We have a unique sisterhood because this is an all-girls school. This is a trait that stands out because it reduces the amount of judgment we feel every day, and we are always there for one another. I have found my best friends at this school, and I never thought I could feel so comfortable and safe with someone. We have the best teachers who always make sure we are learning, but also that we are having fun.
