Freshman: It is such a warm community and has an amazing learning environment.The curriculum is above average with teachers pushing their students to be the best. The competitive academics are also exhilarating because there is always a challenge.I love how the teachers and staff are very caring.They always put the students metal health first which makes a huge impact.All teachers are exceptional in their field and are highly qualified.Every student at TMI is unique and is celebrated for it by others.The giving at TMI is also a virtue that welcomes everyone warmly. It is a culture that we"do on to others as we wish to be done to us."This results in a close community that gives and gives. Whether it be to TMI or the city around us, the TMI community always finds a way to leave a good impact. The sports has grown in the past couple years as well. Parent: This has been our first year at the Atonement catholic Academy. We moved from CA last summer and our main concern was to find a school for our sons with both high academic standards and Christian values. AA has it all. The teachers have exceeded our expectations, the staff is helpful and caring. We have met wonderful families that have welcomed our family as their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. There are rules, of course, but the learning environment is incredible. The kids are treated with love and respect. Parent: We are so happy that we discovered Lutheran High School for our daughter! She is genuinely happy to go to school each day. The academics are excellent. There are several Honors and AP options (History, English, Calculus I & II, Comp Science, Spanish etc) as well as dual credit engineering classes. Importantly, the students are not stressed out and miserable because the teachers and social environment are supportive and nurturing. Bullying and other toxic social issues that are prevalent at other schools are not present here. Athletics are top notch and welcoming to all abilities. Home games and even out of town games are well-attended by students, faculty and parents even if they don't have an athlete on the team. The Robotics, E-Sports, One Act Play etc provide excellent extracurricular opportunities. Junior: BMSS is a great middle school with wonderful clubs and sports and great teachers and academics. I felt connected in many ways and was able to feel involved in the school although entering as an 8th grader. The school did a great job accommodating for my needs and did a good job preparing me for what to expect in highschool when choosing classes. Some of the facilities are worn down and the programs like engineering and such could use some refining. Senior: I've been at Idea Carver since I was in the second grade and it was a fairly good experience. I made lots of friends and gained my social confidence through connecting with my peers and teachers. The teachers here care about me but aren't always given the same treatment back. I am lucky enough that I was able to build these relationships with these people because I'm not as social as others. I believe in this school and the beautiful people in it just as they believed in me all these years. Parent: My family has been at Crestmont since January of 2019, but we have been in the UMS model for 6 years now. Crestmont is such a sweet school with teachers who genuinely care for their students. Not only for their education but also for the condition of their hearts and their relationship with Jesus. And let's face it, they aren't teaching at Crestmont for the massive paycheck! It is truly a ministry for these educators. I love how involved I get to be with my children's education and how I can work hand in hand with the teachers if there is an issue.
