Alum: I loved Edwardsville High School. I graduated this year 2020. I had so many opportunities at Edwardsville High School. I did the morning announcements, spoke at homecoming coronation as well as our virtual commencement ceremony, also I was the mascot at the football games my senior year. Edwardsville High School is the best!

Alton High School
#264 Best Public High Schools in Illinois
- Alton Community Unit School District No. 11, IL
- PK, 9-12
- Rating 3.65 out of 5 244 reviews
Senior: Alton High School was a good school. I had an excellent experience there. It was where I created memories with my friends in high school. It had great academics. They are currently helping me prepare for college, and the honors teachers sure do a good job. They always listen to you when you need them to; however, there are some teachers that don't. There can be teachers that barely give you instruction, but that makes you learn the material on your own. It sucked at the time, but it had me realize that that's how college would be.
This year it sucks because of the pandemic. It ruined my senior year. I was looking forward to spending my last year there, but the pandemic ruined that for me. I heard from all the upperclassman that that was there favorite year because of how everyone treated you. All the staff would treat you as a grown-up instead of a kid. I loved spending my high school years at Alton High because it created many memories for me.

Civic Memorial High School
- Bethalto Community Unit School District No. 8, IL
- Rating 3.7 out of 5 73 reviews
Junior: For a relatively small town school, Civic Memorial does pretty well. Academically, the school does decently compared to other schools in the area. The faculty and counselors, from my observation, work hard at preparing students for college and really push it. Sports are normally very hyped in the school and community, particularly football. I, as someone not involved in much besides academics, would call my experience, of two years thus far, above average. It hasn't been excellent nor bad. I believe its most excellent area is the teachers and faculty, as they are usually very supportive, good at teaching (if a teacher) and friendly--unless a student is disrespectful or the like, of course. I think many high schools are similar and all have areas they are good at or can improve on, and it is the same.

Roxana Senior High School
- Roxana Community Unit School District No. 1, IL
- Rating 3.55 out of 5 123 reviews
Senior: I've enjoyed the variety of sports that I've been able to participate in on the varsity level (football, bowling, golf). I also like that it's a small school and that everyone knows just about everyone on the campus.
I would like to see more STEM based classes/electives available for the students to take. I would like to see more engineering based clubs or activities such as a FIRST Robotics.

Parent: The teachers are committed to the academic success of the children! I have seen teachers work with children before and after school to make sure they fully comprehend the assignment. I could not be more pleased with my decision to send my children to Our Lady Queen of Peace!
