Senior: Lake Ridge Academy is a great school for kids who are looking for a hands-on learning community where teachers become friends and advocates. The small size of the school can be challenging socially (particularly in younger years), but the overall quality of the school experience makes it worthwhile. Best English and History teachers anywhere. School of Fine Arts and Center for Scientific Research offer students a chance to pick their adventure. One of the best features of the school is the large physical campus which includes a greenhouse, a small working farm, outdoor classrooms, woods for an annual Ohio historical re-enactment, soccer fields, tennis courts and more. Class trips each year of high school extend learning opportunities off campus. Very much a community school with active involvement of parents. Parent: Menlo is one special place, and there's nothing like it in our area! Because 100% of the students are gifted, 100% of their education is too. Even though our local school district talked a good game about providing gifted learning to our daughter as a second grader, they did not deliver at all. Absolutely nothing. My daughter feels at home at Menlo. Everyone gets her and her uniqueness. She found "her" people, both fellow students and teachers, and I hear that a lot from other Menlo parents. She felt like an outsider and misunderstood at our local school, and she was always bored. Not at Menlo. The teachers are amazing! They care so much for their students, and teach at a pace appropriate for gifted kids (much faster than local schools). They constantly evaluate kids for readiness to progress to the next level up, and move them there when ready, regardless of what grade they're in, how old they are, or where they are in the school year. Alum: I had an amazing experience at Saint Ignatius and I learned so much. The academics and athletics are top-notch, but the school is so much more. The tradition and expectation of community service helps students experience the real world and become Men for Others. There is a great community, and the connections and friends made here will continue throughout your life. You get a lot of freedom, and one of the best parts of going here was being able to go off-campus to get food or explore Ohio City. I grew in my faith and as a man from what I learned here. Senior: Bay High School is located in Ohio, right on Lake Erie! My overall experience in the Bay Village Schools has been great! They really care about their students and there for them every step of the way. They do a great job for students on IEPs. They make sure the student understands their goals and help them meet their goals set and they include the parents and make sure they are on the same page. The student body is small but the perfect size; everyone is friendly. The sports teams are good, we go to states every year for at least three sports. Alum: Magnificat is an amazing school they have a rigorous college preparatory course and show dedication to helping all students grow and learn in every way. The school has top of the line features and state of the art classrooms. Although people are highly critical of the school's lack of diversity, it is ignored that Magnificat is a great community that values quality education. Magnificat gives accessible aid to any student that needs help and gives back to the community in any way possible, the girls who attend there have access to many service projects and outreach events that build up the rocky river to be an amazing community! Senior: The first thing I want to say about Lutheran West is that I had a fantastic time all four years. The best thing about Lutheran West was that it felt like a family there. Lutheran west is on the smaller side of student bodies at schools, West currently has around 600 kids. It was nice that everyone knew each other and no one felt left out. Growing up in a public school all the way until high school I knew how kids treated other kids, and it was not nicely at all. Also there was almost double the amount of kids so putting a name to everyone's face as impossible. I think the only downside was that sometimes I felt like Lutheran West was money hungry in ways. Such as, if you got your phone taken away it was 5 bucks to get back. Another example is changing a class you do not like, they made you pay 25 bucks just to switch to a different class. If you missed a Saturday dentition it also costed 30-40 bucks. But other than that my experience was one of the best I could've imagined.... Read 85 reviews

Alum: I think this is a great high school in all honesty. It offers exciting and interesting courses that no other Cleveland Metropolitan School District school offers. It also offers an associates degree in liberal arts and it does take some effort but the reward in the end is like no other. The teachers are fantastic and are willing to go above and beyond for their students and their experiences. The curriculum is very interesting and engaging. The arts program is especially great. Senior: I've loved my four years at Saint Martin de Porres High School. The teachers are so supportive and love to help their students. They will absolutely make sure that you are ready for college, even in the ninth grade. You will definitely gain friends as well as mentors when attending this school. Niche User: The very first day turned into an amazing experience, and that made me fall in love with this school. As a black girl from Africa, being around other students who understood me, and would not judge me or ask a lot of questions about my hairstyle was a big relief. Another great thing is that I did not only bound with black students but also various nationalities at the school. I got the chance to learn about other cultures as well. JMIT is amongst those schools in Cleveland, Ohio that requires students to wear uniforms but the uniform policy was not very strong and people usually showed up with regular clothes, putting them on a certain scale compared to those wearing uniforms. Other than that, this is a great school, it was my home, a very safe environment, where students, teachers work together to help students achieve their goals. Parent: My daughter has been at this school since second grade, and she will be moving onto high school after the current school year. The teachers and administrators here care about the individual child, and they go above and beyond to provide support for the individual child, whatever that may mean. The student body is diverse, the teachers look like they actually enjoy their jobs, there are no riots or major fights, and everyone seems to be included. They have all the normal classes but also gym AND yoga, gardening club, photography club, theatre club. There are only three areas in which this school could improve: 1) the food there makes me sad as a mother, 2) there are no sports offered, and 3) the IG schools don't extend their amazing program into the high school level. Senior: I attended Albert Einstein Academy (AEA) for 6th-8th grade, 9th-10th grade, and returned in 11th grade. I am now a senior and I am very happy I switched back to AEA. It's a small school but it really makes an effort to touch all its students and make sure everyone feels included. No matter what the color of your skin is, what gender you identify as, your age, or your grades, AEA makes sure you feel welcome and important. With the pandemic, most schools have struggled to find a balance between online and in-person lessons. Thankfully AEA was able to make sure online students and in-person students all received the same lesson at the same time. Albert Einstein Academy is not perfect, but it is the best school for me and I do not regret attending. I defiantly recommend this school for people who want to find themselves or get away from bullies. Its a great escape and will only benefit you in the end.... Read 8 reviews

Through school, I received flight training, internship, and partnership with United Airlines. Davis A&M also exhibited diversity within the school halls.
