Senior: Attending Baton Rouge Magnet High School has allowed me ample opportunity to make a name for myself on a national level in terms of having the necessary resources available to strengthen my academic merit status. Attending a school with students from all over the globe with a mixture of socioeconomic backgrounds, religious beliefs, genders, and ethnicities was an absolute privilege. The diversity displayed at this school has opened my eyes to the beauty cloaked under humanity's differences. The teachers devote their time outside of the designated class period in order to help students master a topic that they have difficulty understanding, and for that, I couldn't be more grateful. Grades 9th-12th have proven the most transformative years of my life thus far and were it not for the unfaltering support system openly given at BRMHS, my high school experience would not have been nearly as impactful nor incredible!... Senior: Catholic High is a great school, in my experience I played lacrosse and participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club. As a lacrosse player we have gone to state twice and we won state last year. I have had many great experiences at Catholic High School but nothing compares to the attention you get as a student from the teachers and faculty. Senior: Zachary High School has made a name for itself in every aspect of academics and extracurriculars. Senior: I have been at Uhigh for 13 years and I have made a lot of great friends and memories! I love my teachers, however, some of them are a little strict over the dress code. Besides my friends, I will miss my teachers the most! I made the best bonds with them and I feel like I can go to them for anything! They care about their students! Your work ethic has to be very strong and high to go here, but it’s worth it in the end because I will have 18 credits when I go to college! I am involved in 10 different fun, welcoming clubs and I am on the women’s soccer team! The Laboratory School provides a lot of opportunities for their students as well. Seniors have the option of getting out of school at 12:40, which is really helpful when there are college applications due. One thing I would acknowledge Uhigh to invest in would be a bigger school parking lot. Some people are unable to find parking when they get to school at a reasonable time. They offer a wide variety of programs in the arts such as theater, dance, painting, piano, music, etc. They also have a rigorous academic curriculum with advanced courses offered in Science and Math. The McKinley has a very rich culture. They are also one of the few middle schools in the region that encourages international travel. Parent: CP has been the best decision for our family. Our son has been there since pre-k 3 and moving into 6th grade next year. We could not have asked for a better educational experience for him. His teachers have genuinely loved him, while also teaching valuable life skills to go along with his great faith-based education. The school offers so much more than an education that we as parents simply did not have growing up. We have been a part of the CP family since the great floods of 2016 and know the struggles all of us faced during those times. It is amazing to see God’s work bringing this school from a scattered campus occupying 3 different churches to a brand new school campus with state of the art technology. Senior: They are really helpful when it comes to schooling. However, some of the teachers are not the best, they are okay but not too good. Most of the teachers are really amazing and really helpful with everything for Highschool students! They really do prepare us students for the real world! Whether that be with financial stuff or whatever other career we are looking at going into! They take a lot of time and effort to help us do our best and do what we like and to the best of our abilities. I would rate this one of the top schools in this area as well. As a senior in Highschool this year I feel like I have been helped out a lot and am able to succeed further in life. I do feel like I could still use some stuff but that is what the rest of the year is for! Also,the amount of programs for good grades are amazing!
