Junior: Teachers are knowledgeable are care deeply about students. A very substantial amount of teachers have graduated from Maranatha and have returned to teach. Although they don't get paid nearly as much as they would at a public high school, the teachers find this work as a form of ministry and I have never heard of such love for their students. I have never felt unsafe in this school. They have multiple armed security guards at all times during school and a few stay after hours. I am taking PSEO and am a semester in at Bethel University and feel extremely prepared for every class I'm taking. This school is very academically rigorous and definitely prepared me for college. I've heard about very deep bullying problems at other schools and it seems commonplace in our society but never in my nine years of attendance at Maranatha Christian Academy have I experienced bullying, it's just not in the culture. Parent: My second child is now coming through TG and it has been a wonderful experience. I will say it best in that TG offers a "no distraction" learning environment where it is "cool" to get good grades. The teachers are 100% invested in these students, go the extra mile and will make sure your kid does not fall in the cracks. Every teacher knows every student's name. It is impressive. I have a highly academic child and a child that requires more attention and TG is a great fit for both. Private school does not guarantee any outcome but it sure improves your odds! Parent: As the only full-time PreK-12 Islamic school in Minnesota, Al-Amal offers the Minnesota Muslim community an wonderful option. As a parent, I am very thankful for this great resource and have been extremely pleased with the value that we have received by sending our kids to this school to excel in both academics and Islamic studies. Senior: When I started going to CPHS, I had already dubbed it "The Great Separation", because you and your friends from middle school are applying for their own classes. Each Trimester the school switches up your classes, so the friends you make in other classes could be temporary. It's always worth it to make new friends though. Most of the teachers there are pretty good at what they teach. There are a couple teachers there who have been teaching since the school first opened. At CPHS, you can apply for a wide variety of classes, from Child phycology, to graphic design, to welding, to calculus. There are many clubs for all types of interests. We have clubs ranging from Anime, to Greenhouse, to culture clubs. And if you want to join a non-existent club, you can make one and advertise it in the daily school news!... Read 663 reviews

Senior: I liked going to Jackson Middle School because of the environment there. It was amazing, having the chance to take courses that was available. Trying to explore which subject I was more interested in. Also gave me an opportunity to express myself out more and be more confident. Started in 6th grade as a shy kid and not really talking to anyone, but the friends around me only. Although, throughout my whole three years there, I expanded my circle and experienced the amazement that I've been missing. I was in ESL for 6 and 7th grade so I'm always comfortable being in there because of the people that I'm surrounded with, all colored students. I was able to exceed ESL and enter into regular English like many other students was in. English class was one of the best experience because it helped pushed me out of my comfort zone. Parent: We got into PACT in 2018 and right away we could see a huge improvement from the elementary public school we came from and PACT. The teachers really go above and beyond to ensure my daughters are getting all the help they need. I love the emphasis on character building as well as academics. Senior: My experience at Anoka High School was great! Many of my teachers clearly enjoyed their jobs and truly wanted each of their students to succeed. Whether the students did or not was up to them, but they were given every opportunity to do well. The school has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere overall, although up until this year it looked very bland and dark. It had no windows and was all a monotone beige color, but it has since been remodeled and seems much more open now! The school felt like a family, which was very evident at our pep fests! Everyone would sing the school song while the band played, and each grade would have their chant. We had pep fests for holidays, homecoming, and when our clubs or sports did well.
