Alum: I was an international student at The Hill School and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. While initially skeptical about the transition that lay ahead, the administration, faculty, and students were more than accommodating and welcoming. The school's familiarity with international students ensures that all bases are covered when tendering to these students' needs. For example, transportation to Walmart and Target is regularly provided. On weekends, the school is a hub for activities and entertainment, catering to those who can't easily leave campus. Lastly, students' voices are treasured and appreciated demonstrated by the close relationships developed with faculty, some of whom live on campus. When you add to this the overwhelming amount of state-of-the-art facilities and amenities, it's hard to find much The Hill School lacks. Freshman: My overall experience with coventry christian schools has shaped me to be a better person in all the above, academics, social,sports,and religiously. Coventry's education provides a christian based education. When I first came to coventry I was a christian,but after being there for a few years I learned so much more about the bible and what it's really like to be a christian.The schools encouraged me to try new things such as sports and has challenged me academically causing me to know more things. Things that could prepare me for college and things i've never known before. My social life at coventry is different then if I would have went to a public school , since it is a private school there is a lot less people. Now before coming to coventry I had previously went to a public school, and I found that I work best in schools with less people. Alum: Cons: For the amount of money my parents paid in tuition this school building should have been in much better condition. Also, the lack of respect some of the underclassmen had for teachers/upperclassmen was appalling and no amount of punishment dealt out by administrators would change that. The dress code was, in my opinion, much too strict. Senior: For the first two years, I went to this school full time. This was during Covid and I absolutely could not focus while learning online. The school itself is great, I love the teachers and administration. It’s usually clean and the activities are fun. Parent: After visiting several schools in the area, we knew right away the Wyndcroft School was the perfect fit. A big draw to the school was the small class sizes. The students welcomed us with smiles and we instantly felt the kindness through the school community. The teachers and staff are wonderful, they feel like family- providing a warm and nurturing environment! Our daughter happily goes to school every day. She is not only excelling in reading and math but coming home with daily knowledge of art history, French, music and science. At such a young age I am amazed at how much she has learned. We are pleased with the new after school activities this year and fun family events that create a strong sense of community. Parent: We moved to the Reading area summer of 2022. Our fourth grade twin sons were integrated into school life by caring and thorough teachers, dependable and resourceful administrative staff, and a truly outstanding principal. They have made excellent friendships. Coming from a public school background, it has been beautiful to see the school culture weave together strong academics, faith formation, and personal character-building. Over the past year, I can see a real difference in how our sons engage peers and adults, as well as how they handle academics. Honestly, I can't think of any criticism of this school. Like most Catholic schools, this one creatively makes the most of every dollar, and also asks families to pitch in with fundraising efforts. But we don't feel that our sons' education is compromised in any way. Technology is well-utilized. There are special activities and resources at each grade level. Parent: My son graduated from ICA 5 years ago along with 20 others in his class, he attended the local Public School for 1 year which was providing a substandard education. Every one of his classmates at ICA graduated from college in 4 years and 75% of his classmates graduated with Honors! It's a fantastic school that gets their students college ready. My son and 2 of his classmates now work for a Major Investment firm in the area and are doing extremely well. The facilities are not the greatest but the level of education provided is the best. I highly recommend ICA to any parent, the tuition isn't that high and the hierarchy will work with you if you can't afford the tuition.... Read 4 reviews
