Junior: When I decided in fifth grade that I wanted to come to the Linsly School, I couldn't have made a better decision. I am now a junior in high school and have been here since the fifth grade. I am a person that focuses on academics more than sports and Linsly has helped me to become more intelligent in and outside of the books. Being in a small school is nice; no matter where you turn there will almost always be a familiar face you can ask for help or to cheer you up on your bad days. I would highly recommend Linsly to anyone that likes this idea of school and the people there with you being like a second family, because that's how Linsly is.... Read 89 reviews

Middle School Student: This school is a great one for everyone to come to. It’s a great place to learn and maybe get a few high school credits if you’re eligible! However, there are a few things I personally do not like about this school. Sometimes, they are very stubborn about changing your schedule and some of the teachers are rude to certain people.... Parent: I have 7 children ranging from 3 to 21. We moved alot with my older kids over the years so iv been to several elementary school within a couple states. This is by far the best iv ever had children attend. The staff and kids are all so amazing. The kids seem genuinely happy to be in school here and get along. Teachers actually care and communicate with families even after hours. I now have 2 children attending both with IEPs and they are awesome with working with them without calling attention to them by singling them out. Can't recommend this school enough!... Parent: Involved teachers, counselors, admin. I go to his school and all the teachers and staff call my son by name. His teacher engages him in his interests. They have parent involvement activities, like family nights, book fair, science fair... I love that they are teaching Chinese. Senior: Morgantown High School thrives with opportunities on every level. There is variety of AP classes and college courses available for everyone. In college, I plan on majoring in biological sciences or health science, and coming out of Morgantown High School I have already had six different science classes to prepare for my studies. I feel confident going into college due to these class opportunities and the effective teachers. Not only did I love the academics at MHS, I loved the available extracurriculars. There are so many diverse options compared to other West Virginia schools. I played volleyball all four years of high school. At MHS, I got to perform at a high level of volleyball in West Virginia along with other states, and in the state championship. This school not only allowed me to experience competition but how important leadership and school spirit can be. The gym was packed on game days. Middle School Student: I transferred to the school during my 6th grade year and the teachers were wonderful in helping me, I had 3 great friends on my first day and the school has been wonderful to me. if I could fix anything about the school it would be the warmers in the kitchen, the French fries are always cold and I wish they had better food.... Senior: I feel like St. Joseph High School is a really good school. The classes are very advanced, and they always challenge me. All of the teachers genuinely want to see all the students succeed, and they push us really hard. I feel that I've made great strides in my writing because of my honors English teacher. The school's environment is also great. It's a very small school, meaning everyone knows everyone. Everyone is nice to everyone, even if they aren't necessarily friends. Middle School Student: I go to south now and it is the best school every i like how you meet new people they and how it is really big and more space and bigger classes which is the best you get to talk to your friends more and the food and the gym are the best place ever and the best thing to eat i wish everyone in the world went to south. South has programs that no other middle or other schools have. Since i been at south i learned a lot and i was not at south for a year or so that is where i met people i didn't even know and now we are like the best of friends. The first day was so not fun but then after a while i liked it. I won't to be a teacher now that i went to south i want everyone else to like it how i liked it and i want to be the one to give that pass shin like they gave me so that is why i love south middle school... Senior: University High School is an excellent institution, providing massive STEM opportunities as well as education in the arts, music, theater, cultures, and multiple different languages. The school is packed with varying levels of courses, from on level to recovery to AP and dual credit college courses. That alongside the UHS/WVU Access pairing makes class availability excellent. The schools administration tends to make choices that benefit the school, and the teachers are excellent, some of which being nationally ranked. UHS doubled down on STEM with extra math and physics courses and a fully fleshed out Project Lead the Way path. Senior: I absolutely loved my experience at this school ! The people and administration were like one big family . We had each other’s back no matter what. With being such a small school , I was able to get know everyone and who they were as a person. It was more like my second home I practically lived at that place from going to school to all the after school activities! The unconditional love and support we got from our family, friends, and community was awesome. My most favorite thing about going to school here was the people and sports. It really has been the best four years of my life there and would do it again in a heartbeat.
