Alum: Boise high overall is a great school. The teachers and staff are all wonderful, and the classes and opportunities are quite varied with expansive options and fields of interests. The club and social scene is also really great, and a good way to meet people and get involved. We also have a variety of sports programs for all different levels and good facilities for use in these areas. The school and student council also work in conjunction to host a variety of events and engagements throughout the year, such as dances and other such activities. Football, baseball, soccer, and other games are frequent, and the student section always shows up with spirit and numbers. Overall everyone at the school is really nice, welcoming, and understanding. The kids are very passionate, smart, and kind, and the teachers and staff are all experienced, understanding and the absolute sweetest. Senior: Timberline has given me a great high school experience. I love the programs they have to offer. I love the students here - I love the teachers - I love the size - it's all perfect! The sports programs are both fun to be a part of and be to be spectators at. The music programs are top notch as well! The only think I would like to change is the sense of community. Alum: I had a great experience at Capital high school. All of my teachers seemed to genuinely care about my success, but also about my mental health. I genuinely enjoyed learning in most of my classes because the information was interesting and the teachers almost always did an amazing job teaching the material. The school building itself could use some extreme renovations, as it is very outdated and can feel very gloomy at times. Also the parking lot absolutely needs to be redone because if you end up going a little too fast through the parking lot, your car will be damaged due to the many potholes and bumps. Other that the actual building, the school is great. I enjoyed my entire high school career there because I was able to become involved in yearbook, the dance team, a few musical theater productions, foreign language clubs, AP classes, office assistant positions, and so much more. Alum: I graduated from Troy Junior/Senior High School in 2018. Some of my favorite parts about the school when I attended was the sense of community between all of the age groups, the faculty, and the coaches. My graduating class had 28 people, so the school size is pretty small. Some of the big extracurricular activities that we focused on as a school would be our sports (football, volleyball, XC, basketball, track, baseball, softball) as well as Business Professionals of America, and FFA. These different activities that we were able to involve ourselves in helped us grow connections with each other throughout our time in high school, that built the community within the school. Looking back on the academic side of the school, I could not be more thankful for how prepared my teachers had gotten me for studying at a university. Senior: I love the people here, everybody is so friendly. The teachers here are very flexible and genuinely care about the students and helping them succeed. There are a wide variety of AP and duel credit courses that we can choose to take. We have an amazing music program and the music instructors are amazing at helping student realize the importance of music and to learn to love it. My school also accepts foreign exchange students. This is one of my favorite things about my school because it allows us to learn about different cultures and share ours. It also allows us to make life-long friends with people from the other side of the world. My school also has many clubs, which can be created by anyone. Senior: I moved to EHS my Freshman year. I was a very timid Freshman and still remember the uneasy feeling I had before I started my first day of Freshman year. From the first day of my Freshman year to now my teachers at Eagle High have been very welcoming and supportive. They are there to push you and challenge you to be better but they also are the first ones to offer strategies to help you and allow you to grasp the topics you do not understand. Junior: I have lived in a different state every year of high school. This is by far the best school I have attended. The campus is clean, organized, and spacious. As a new student, it was easy to adjust and navigate to my classes. In terms of staff, they are kind and helpful. My counselor helped me substantially and in terms of teachers, I have had only positive experiences. The College Readiness Department is also very friendly and organized. There are a variety of resources online, handouts, reminder texts, and SAT/Scholarship books you can check out. In terms of classes, they provide a variety of concurrent and AP courses that were previously unavailable to me at other schools. There are also several options for classes under each category, so it gives a lot of flexibility and choice to students. The sports department is also amazing! Niche User: I attended this school for my junior and senior year, my entire experience was nothing less then great. The staff is amazing, as well as the student body. Before attending, I had never made good grades or even really attended my classes. After making the switch and being placed in LPO, my grades changes, Gpa raised, and I was at 95% attendance. Senior: As a small school, all the students are very close together and there is very little to no bullying. The teachers are amazing and actively get to know their students and work through any issues the students are having. Senior: I believe Centennial High School provides a great education. With most teachers being encouraging and always willing to help, all the while making learning interesting and enjoyable. Through sports, dances, and more, I have met so many new people I hope to keep lasting relationships with. Through school have met friends and even my girlfriend who I will give anything to keep. The school spirit showed by the students, staff, band, and parents at all events is amazing. Making all sports events and assemblies fun and engaging. Not only have I made long lasting relationships with students at Centennial, but also with the teachers. Alum: I absolutely loved my experience attending Idaho Fine Arts Academy! I attended my senior year of high school and from the first day both students and teachers helped me to feel completely included and welcomed. I felt the teachers truly cared about me and helping me to pursue my dreams. I was in the dance majors program and was able to achieve my childhood dream of choreographing and performing a dance solo at the end of the school year. Senior: Grace Junior/Senior High School is a great little school nestled in a little valley in southern Idaho. It is very safe and sheltered and, due to the size, every student can have a personalized one-on-one learning experience. The only downside is the lack of variety and opportunity in sports, clubs, and academics. Grace Junior/Senior High School has more of a variety than other small schools might have, but there are not enough students to participate in various new and different clubs and sports, and there are is not enough student interest for there to be more diverse classes available.
