Niche User: Great school! Teachers are nice and students are serious about school. I think that attending O'Gorman has helped me a lot academically. However, making friends can be a little challenging because students have grown up around each other. I found it challenging to make friends at O'Gorman although I should have tried harder to make friends with them.

Senior: Some of the teachers are passionate about what they teach and make the experience for students amazing. They have a way of interesting you in things you’d never taken an interest in before. Brandon offers students great academic opportunities including college credit and career based classes through the Career and Technical Education Academy in Sioux Falls. The environment is very safe with all individuals working to make a strong community. Brandon Valley gives a sense of home where most everyone is friendly, and there are multiple adults ready to help in any way possible.

Senior: Lincoln High School has a wonderful program of extracurricular activities. If you have a passion for something you can find a club, activity, or group that shares and encourages that passion. And, if one does not already exist it is simple to create your own and quickly find that community. For being a school within South Dakota it is considerably diverse including a large population of people political displaced from other countries. However, the majority of the population still falls in the caucasian middle-class classification. The school includes a cafeteria and school store where students can eat however the selection does not stray beyond the typical options. There are many options for free or reduced lunch or extracurricular involvement. Lincoln High School is a closed campus school within the Sioux Falls Public School District. There is a multitude of musical ensembles in Choir, Orchestra, and Band. There are also multiple theatrical/musical productions a year.

Junior: One of the better middle schools in town; Has good school spirt and not very much bullying compared to other schools in district. Edison also has great accelerated classes. Although does not have the same music department as Patrick Henry.

Senior: I have loved going to Washington High school for the past four years. My school is different than any other schools in my city because of the major diversity we have with different races and religions. It is unique because of everyone’s wide spread passion and school spirit that radiates through the halls. Whether it be at sporting, musical, or theatre events, Washington staff, students, and supporters are there with warrior pride. I would improve our school in a way that merges our diverse student body so each student has the opportunity to learn and understand each other’s back grounds and unique upbringings. Overall my school offers so many opportunities in and out of the classroom and being involved is a key characteristic of a Washington student. Our school is one big family of diversity which adds a positive and competitive touch to Sioux Falls.

Senior: I had a great 4 years of high school at Roosevelt. Roosevelt High School has a wide variety of clubs such as Harry Potter, art, video games, anime, guitar, yearbook, and many more! You are guaranteed to find at least one club that you will like, and you will meet a bunch of friendly students. I definitely recommend joining clubs and sports because you will be more engaged and make new friends. I did not learn much information about college in my classes. There were a few times when counselors would give us a presentation about college, but that was all. I learned about college from a program that specializes in preparing kids for college, and from meetings with my counselor. Your counselor will do their absolute best to find the information that you're looking for, and help prepare you for any situation. I have had many great teachers over the years. They're so friendly and kind, and they really do care for their students!

Senior: I love SFC! The staff genuinely cares about the students, and I have made great friendships there. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether you want to participate in sports, theatre, choir, or something else. I love that it's a bit smaller than a public high school, because it's allowed me to get to know my teachers and classmates. My classes are challenging but not overly difficult. I would recommend SFC to anyone who wanted a quality Christian education.
