Parent: Rivermont is an excellent value for an outstanding education for our kids. We have seen how excited they are to learn and are amazed at the things they are doing for their age (Algebra in 2nd grade, Rocket Science in Kindergarten). They love school because of the outstanding teachers that keep them engaged and challenged everyday. We have been so impressed with the excellent communication and proactive, responsible handling of COVID. The close community gives them access to a very diverse group of students from around the world that enhances their educational and social development...Read 56 Reviews

Senior: This is truly an amazing school. I value the relationship between my teachers and me. It is obvious they love what they do and want every student to succeed. Also, I know Academy has prepared me for college - the work load, albeit difficult, is manageable. Additionally, the sports facilites are incredible; I do not know many schools that have their own pool attached. That being said, I would like to see more attention given to the fine arts department. There are so many hidden artists in my grade that I did not know about until taking Studio Art. Finally, recognizing the minorities in the community, Norfolk Academy has taken steps to make their campus more inclusive this year. Overall, I have loved my high school experience at NA and highly recommend this school to students striving to make the most of their education...Read 143 Reviews

Senior: Pleasant Valley offers many opportunities for students. There are many clubs, sports and music organizations that all students are welcome to join. Students are also able to create their own clubs if they get approval for them. This allows the students to become involved with the school and meet new people. Another opportunity to get involved through the school is by joining Spartan Assembly. This organization is the student council for PV and creates real-world like jobs for the students. Aside from clubs, PV has one of the biggest and most talented bandanna in Iowa. The marching band at PV is as big as the state schools’ in Iowa!...Read 219 Reviews

Parent: We moved from the Pleasant Valley Elementary school district, which is the #1 elementary school in our district, to Cody Elementary which is a MUCH SMALLER rural school. We were amazed at the student teacher ratio and the how much the teachers were committed to teaching. These teacher CARE about the students in their classes and really care about each student and there learning capabilities. I am so proud that our twins went to Cody. I consider it the BEST ELEMENTARY in the Pleasant Valley School District...Read 1 Review

Senior: Over the past three years, I have really enjoyed my time at Bettendorf High School. I have had many oppurtunities to challenge myself academically, most so in this current year where the number of avaiblable dual credit courses significantly increased. The teachers and advisors work hard to prepare you for not only any secondary education following high school, but also the real world after that. Aside from academics, I have had many oppurtunities to get incredibly involved in the school. Bettendorf offers many sports, clubs, and fine art activties to be involved in which all foster their own communities of hard working students and oppurtunities to lead. Overall, I have really enjoyed my experience with Bettendorf High School...Read 205 Reviews

Senior: Assumption High School gave me the best years of my life. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. The courses were difficult but prepared us for college-level courses. We were required to take multiple college classes before graduating, so we could be a step above other schools; therefore, giving us an advantage. The school created a sense of community and family. The athletics department was excellent, the coaches were so helpful in each sport. Our teams achieve state-level status in almost every sport! Assumption gave me many experiences that I am thankful for...Read 116 Reviews

Senior: Geneseo High School has been a wonderful experience for me these last four years! The teachers are caring, and they try their best to help their students succeed rather than fail. Parent: Flint Hill has been a wonderful experience for our family with two children in the Lower School. The teachers truly know each of my children. They can't wait to come to school every day and leave every day excited about the next day. It is warm and nurturing while also being sure they are challenged. I am amazed at the things they learn and how well they understand what they are learning. I can't personally speak to the Middle and Upper Schools yet and know they deal with issues all school with adolescents face but hear the balance, challenge, offerings and college counseling is well worth it...Read 82 Reviews

Middle School Student: I've been going to NSA since diapers. Currently, I am in the ninth grade, and I have already received access to so many opportunities. Along with education, NSA focuses on making everyone from everywhere feel welcome in our community. Sure, we have had our rough spots, but hasn't everyone? When I have trouble or drama, NSA is my safe haven to be myself. My teachers' goal is to help students achieve theirs. Honestly, so many of my teachers at NSA have helped shape my bright future. I am always eager to learn, and I always feel welcome in their classes. Along with this, I have always found NSA to be so creative and clever. There are so many fun social activities, especially the pep rallies and football games! Overall, NSA has taught me skills that will last me a lifetime. From making friends, to prioritizing education, NSA will always be my home. I wouldn't have anything else for the world...Read 62 Reviews
