Sophomore: The Bernardino Cordero Bernard school, is a school for students with high average. Part of the mission of the school is to prepare the student for his university life. Bernardino Cordero Bernard is specialized with workshops (or rather as concentrations) where the student has the privilege of choosing his workshop of preference. When I was studying in the school, I was in the architectural "workshop", there i made architectural hand-drawn and computer plans. The school is very good in the academic way, also the resources and others informations and values that the school gives. As all the schools have their club, in the bernardino ordero bernard school, there is a butterfly club, not only they take care of the butterfly, they also work with compost , and take care of the plants. Senior: The most I like about this high school is the sense of community it provides, that even tho not all of us know each other we know that they'd support us, like a classmate says: "The students have to be together, we're the backbone of this school." Though I would love for it to have more clubs, activities or sports. Since they only have around three sport teams in which if you don't take classes with that teacher you never find out that the team exists, also the lack of clubs, we have very few clubs which many people don't even know about because of how irrelevant they are.... Middle School Student: Being in Caribbean school for about five years now has given me enough information to say what I think about it. Caribbean has shown excellent academics and actually help you understand the class. Math and science are actually fairly easy to understand because they have teachers that are willing to teach students and have them ready for college. Not just the academics but the school in general feels safe. There are guards present in the front and back gates watching for anyone who isn't permitted to enter the school. There was an incident where a intruder tried to climb the front gates but the guards put an instant stop to it. Just a few minutes and it was over in an instant. Now the cafeteria is one of the best parts of the school. The food is made fresh besides a few small things and consists of rice and beans with porkchops, ground beef, etc. Now there isn't much the school should change with but the clubs they end a bit quickly. Alum: Overall, I had a very good experience at Loaiza Cordero del Rosario High School. Something I liked about my school is that the faculty would organize activities for reasons such as creating awareness, celebrating holidays and embracing our culture. I also like how the faculty has prepared us students to become people of benefit in society. However, something I would like to see change is the economic resources of this school. Many times the teachers have had to buy materials that benefit our learning experience such as paper, dry erase markers, books etc. when those materials should be provided by the economic educational system in Puerto Rico. I would also like the schools in Puerto Rico to have a more advanced education. Especially when it comes to learning English because it is the second language of Puerto Rico (because Puerto Rico is associated with the United States). Senior: I love Luis Llorens Torres, it has the greatest academics courses. It's big, spacious and fun to be in. You get out of there knowing. When I say knowing I mean "knowing it for real". When you don't understand teachers help you at all costs, because they know that we are capable of everything we propose to do in life. We have a basketball team, a volleyball team and a soccer team. In other activities we have the music group too, they go out and sing in other places and in all the activities in school. I definitely did enjoyed this school since I got in.
