Senior: In my experience, Columbia Heights High School is a great high school. The student body is very diverse and we all celebrate our differences. The teachers are welcoming and really put in an effort to connect with their students; they're very invested in our success. There is a vast variety of Advanced Placement classes offered at Columbia Heights which as a student, I can appreciate. Things I would like to see changed at Heights are the lack of support in certain extracurricular activities and the improvement of our art spaces. People are invested in our football and basketball programs and I would like to see more students attending theater performances and both competitive and synchronized swimming meets. Also our performing arts center needs updating as well as our band room.

Senior: I love Gann so much, I wake up every day excited to go to school. The teachers here sincerely care about you and want you to succeed, and the community is so amazing and supportive. Gann students are passionate and driven people and thinkers, and unafraid to show it. Most of us are involved in multiple activities outside the classroom, it's pretty abnormal not to do so. Going to a pluralistic Jewish day school is a unique experience, I can happily say that I have friends of many different Jewish beliefs and denominations who are all willing to engage with each other. Gann has shaped me into a thoughtful person who is ready to go out into the world and follow my passions in college and beyond. I value my time here so much and I wouldn't have it any other way.
