Marion L. Steele High School
209 Best Public High Schools in Ohio
- Amherst Exempted Village School District, OH
Alum: Went there for my sophomore to senior year. Different levels of classes based on intelligence. AP and advanced classes for those ahead of others. Had to have 24 credits to graduate, where my previous school required 21. Most classes were educational. Some teachers weren't that good. Had a certain credit hour requirement that made people stuck at the school longer than needed. Needed to be scheduled for at least 6 credits each semester, even if you didn't need it. Had a few College Credit Plus classes to count for college credits, but had a lot less than surrounding schools. Didn't have the opportunity to attend Lorain County Community College instead of going to the high school, unlike other districts that did that. Building needed updating and remodeling, a few things were done after I graduated. School is on the smaller side, only one full floor and half a floor upstairs.
