Alum: Going into high school I was afraid of what was going to happen next. It was such a huge change from junior high such as the bigger school,new students,teachers,and also the staff members. Although I was scared I was also ready to be a motivated freshman and tackling whatever comes my way. Experiencing Yazoo County was not only all about the academics, it's a place that will teach you to reach the highest of your goals, a place that will motivate you and keep you striving for more.Yazoo County has so much to offer to their students such as sports programs,clubs, organizations and more.Myself has also been a part of plenty of groups that have not only served Yazoo county but outside functions as well to help them succeed.Helping others was the school system's biggest priority.I loved being a part of Yazoo county and I could not have envisioned myself in any other school district there is.I’m also proud to say that I am an alumna of Yazoo County and there is nothing that I would change.... Alum: I attended YCHS and graduated valedictorian 10 years ago. I was fortunate to be apart of the gifted program throughout grade school, and enrolled in AP courses while in high school. I was very active socially, athletically and academically while at YCHS. There were educators at the school during my matriculation that cared for student's individual growth.
