Alum: Overall, I thought this was a great school to attend. While not perfect, which is impossible given the extreme differences in desires, I felt the school had a good curriculum overall. The students there have been hit or miss in relation to how they treat each other as well as faculty and staff. While school lunches were average in my book, the snack bar had pretty decent cookies. The different elective, art, and technical skill classes provided at the school are amazing from what I experienced. I am sure you will find teachers that just make your day (of course some who may ruin it, but that’ll depend on your personality and attitude, everyone is different). My main complaint had to do with the school counselors assigned to each student. Given the student to counselor ratio, I’m sure they’re swamped with work. However I have come across some mishaps with the process, and you mainly end up having to plan stuff (like college options, scholarships, classes to take) yourself.... Read 174 reviews

Alum: Franklin Elementary School was an excellent school for the years I was attending because it had a no-bullying tolerance policy, a great administrative staff, and teachers who were kind, helpful, and informed. The classrooms were small in order to create individualized time with each of the students, and they worked with the needs and the skills of each individual from where they were at. The school consistently scored miles above the state average in tests, and the state average was already significantly higher than the national average. The education I received here in my primary years was remarkable and put me on a clear path to success. Senior: I love the small town feel of Colfax high school, how you know everyone and everyone knows you. The teachers are all super nice and dedicated. Everyone at Colfax high school is committed 110% and it’s awesome! Some things that I wish I could change would be I wish we had better food, and I also wish we offered more classes. I know we used to offer psychology and sociology classes and I really wish we still did, I would definitely take them. Another thing I wish my school had was open campus, so we could go home to eat lunch, or go to a fast food place for our 30 minute lunch, or even if the seniors just got a designated spot to eat lunch like the seniors had in the past. Overall these changes would be nice, but even without them Colfax High school is a great school and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!... Read 46 reviews

Senior: Oakesdale High School is a wonderful school that is accepting to all those who attend. I first moved to Oakesdale in 2016, coming from a bigger college town. When I first got to Oakesdale, I was hesitant at first because the town was much smaller, but I soon realized that with a smaller town came a tighter knit community that was always there for each other. Junior: excellent small school for this area. The teachers are caring, want everyone to exceed and will take extra time to help any students that need it. There are a lot of running start options here as well, there are several classes offered through eastern washing university that will help students get a jump start on college. The board is very active and constantly improves student experiences and grounds. The student body is very accepting and offers most sports and activities for any newcomers to enjoy. Sophomore: I've gone to school here my whole life and have enjoyed it for the most part. The teachers are helpful and are more than willing to help the students go above and beyond in their post-graduate schooling. However, communication isn't very good and there's a lot of confusion from the administration to the student body. They don't even tell anyone when we are having an assembly! And also the school atmosphere isn't necessarily healthy. The push for students to do FFA, sports, and other activities is overwhelming and you get pushed out of social activities if you don't participate in either of things, or even both at once.
