Parent: We had the most incredible experience with George Washington Academy! All four of our kids attended this charter school, and it was truly amazing. The dedication and care shown by each teacher were beyond compare. They knew our children individually, working closely with them, and holding them accountable for their education. The teachers' commitment to our kids' growth and development was evident every day. One of our children faced challenges with severe dyslexia, but thanks to the exceptional resource team and the incredible 3rd-grade teacher, he fell in love with reading and going to school again. The leadership team at George Washington Academy is nothing short of outstanding. Freshman: Desert Hills Middle School is an absolutely amazing experience. The school is extremely well run and taken care of. Students are given every opportunity to grow and learn. The sports system, though slightly separated from the high school, is absolutely amazing. The biggest change needed is more solidified rules. At the beginning of the year a dress code was put in place, but was never followed. It was the same with a no phones without teacher permission rule. Other than that the school is great!... Senior: I have attended to Crimson Cliffs High School for the past three years. I enjoyed going to the school because it is clean, orderly, and has great and easy to use technology. The teachers are all friendly and have a general interest in helping students learn and succeed. The community of the school is amazing, and established in a safe area. There are a variety of classes that allow students to learn what they are interested in, including many fine arts classes and electives. Crimson Cliffs also offers access to school sports and new equipment. While the school lunch offered is average, there are also many restaurants in a close proximity that students are welcome to visit during the hour long open-campus lunch break. Junior: I am currently a junior at Desert Hills High School in St George, Utah. Desert Hills is a great school. Our amazing student council is a big help in uniting our student body, getting them involved and excited for sports and other events. Going to the varsity football and volleyball games is a cool experience. The community here is very inclusive. I have made numerous loyal friends since attending this school that I intend on keeping in touch with for a while. However, nothing is perfect. One thing that I would change or better about Desert Hills is counselors watching out for bullying. From experience, I would have appreciated it if that was more prominent. My experience at Desert Hills High school has taught me a lot about friendship, kindness, maturity, and self-control. Senior: I have absolutely loved my experience so far at Utah Arts Academy. Every club and team I have tried out for have welcomed me so much. Every time I see one of the admin they always say hi and talk to me. It’s great to see all the diversity at this school and everyone is always welcome! The teachers are always pushing me to be my best and work hard. On the Utah Arts Academy Instagram page they post every team/clubs event and never forget one! They support every group and attend every event they can. One thing I would like to see changed is making our school bigger. Right now it’s pretty small because it is a charter school, but if there were more students there would be a bigger pool of talent and diversity. The education they receive here is wonderfully well rounded and yet not generalized. Senior: Being a student here at Pine View High was an amazing experience. You see so many shows all over the tv/internet about dreary high schools with bullying and graffiti, but Pine View is the exact opposite. Everyone knows each other and everyone cares for each other, basic compassion isn't something that's scarce here. Furthermore the staff is amazing and many of them connect on a personal level to their students, which makes the learning experience so much easier! There's students here who have befriended their teachers, and that is just the sweetest thing! Learning here is a privilege that I hope upcoming high schoolers will enjoy! The school offers a variety of programs that cater to all sorts of personalities! I feel really safe here in the way that I'm in no way worried about being cheated out of an education.... Senior: I loved snow canyon! It was amazing! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am a very musical person. And during covid when it came down to either having a sports game or a musical concert those nights, they always chose the sports games. The musical concerts were always canceled or rescheduled and then canceled again. We got just about no time to show our families and friends our accomplishments. It felt pretty unfair....
