Lehman Catholic High School
- Private School
- Sidney, OH
Alum: I am a graduating senior of Lehman Catholic High School. Coming from a grade school class of only 12, I did not know what to expect at Lehman. The past 4 years of my life have surpassed all of my expectations. Lehman is comprised of teachers and staff that truly care about the student. During my time here, I have grown so much as a person: in my academics, my extracurricular activities, my spiritual life, and as a person. Thanks to the wonderful teachers and counselors, I know I am prepared for the next big chapter in my life of college. Lehman was truly the best foundation i could have asked for.

Parent: Our family has had three children go through GCS. When they each entered high school, they were in the honors program at a school ranked in the top 10 in Ohio. Each took several AP courses, due to the preparation they received at GCS. Many students go into high school already having received credit for high school courses. All of our children got into outstanding colleges, and have done very well. They all graduated high school and college with honors. GCS is just outstanding. The academics fit with whatever academic level your child possesses, whether it be superior, average, or needing improvement. The extracurricular offerings are wonderful. The music and drama programs are exceptional. As one current student puts it, the faculty and students make GCS a family.

Anna High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Shelby County
- Anna Local School District, OH
Junior: I had a great experience in the Anna School District. There were many extracurricular activities to take place in in the district. I participated in Art Club, Runners Club, Girl Scouts, Spanish Club, Softball, Basketball, Soccer, and a variety of other activities. Our school is primarily in a Republican area with not very much ethnicity and backgrounds in the area. The only thing I would change about our school district is that the teachers don't try and bring their religion into the curriculum they're teaching, something that happened with new teachers almost yearly.

Botkins High School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Shelby County
- Botkins Local School District, OH
Senior: Botkins High School is a great place for teenagers to learn. The environment is not too large and it is very welcoming. I love how everyone knows everyone, it helps to keep everyone in line. One area I would like to see changes in is the guidance department. The guidance department is very helpful and friendly, but I feel we do not have enough counselors. I feel it would help greatly if we had two or more counselors for the students because going into college is a crucial stage in life and planning it out is very important. When the guidance counselor isn't there to help you time after time you visit, it can be frustrating. Therefore, adding another guidance counselor would be very helpful for the students.

Fairlawn High School
- Fairlawn Local School District, OH
High School Senior: Fairlawn High School is hands down the best. I have been attending this school since Kindergarten and I wouldn't have it any other way. The teachers are hardworking and caring. Parents of my peers are also caring and very supportive. Not only do they want the best for their children, but they want the best for me and all the other students. Fairlawn is a very close nit school because it is a very small school. I love that, everyone knows everyone. We are one big family.

Sidney High School
- Sidney City School District, OH
Senior: SHS has a lot more opportunities compared to some of the other districts in the same area, in my opinion. They have a college credit plus program where you can take college classes. Counselors are super helpful as long as you have an idea of what you want to do. Most of the teachers are great and want to help you learn. I always feel safe coming into school; they have police officers that keep watch throughout the school day to make sure there's not a disturbance and if there is, to deal with it quickly.
Overall, there have been some ups and downs for me at SHS, but it's been a pretty good schooling experience for me. I'm involved in orchestra, German, programming, and much more. They have quite a few clubs/programs and I've been able to take 50+ credit hours worth of college classes during my four years here.
