Alum: I had a great experience at Seward High School. I developed my love for basketball and that helped me decide to continue to play basketball at the college level. I was involved in many different clubs and activities that helped me make friends and find my interests. I got to have a lot of cool experiences through FFA and I even got to travel a little bit. Seward had a lot of opportunities to get college credit before college and I was able to take many advanced classes. I learned a lot about a variety of subjects, and had some amazing teachers along the way. I was also able to be involved in a lot of community service projects throughout my four years of high school. I was also able to take on a lot of leadership roles at the high school that helped shape me into who I am today. For example, I was an ambassador for the high school. I got to help take new students on tours, help with parent teacher conferences, and assist the administration with various tasks throughout the year.

Milford High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Seward County
- Milford Public Schools, NE
- Rating 3.45 out of 5 60 reviews
Senior: Attending Milford High School has been a fantastic experience! I overall enjoyed high school and I will truly miss it. Milford does an amazing job at creating classes that the students want. The administration is very proficient in listening to students needs and doing anything they can to meet those needs. It's easy to hate on a school that is in such a small town, but I couldn't imagine attending high school anywhere else, nor would I want to. Some things I would like to see change include opening up college classes or AP classes to underclassmen instead of having to wait until senior year. It would give students more experience and preparation for college. Looking back on my high school career, I can honestly say I will miss attending Milford High School but I’m thankful for the time I had there.

Centennial Junior/Senior High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Seward County
- Centennial Public Schools, NE
- Rating 3.78 out of 5 9 reviews
Senior: I had a great experience at Centennial personally, but I know others did not. The teachers are very friendly but like to pick favorites based on your last name and how well you do at sports. It is a very sport driven school. The music and arts are often forgot about and always get the short end of the stick. We have many talented artists that are never appreciated. It is really sad to see the lack of funding for these programs. The school is more on the small side with an average of 35 kids per class. With small schools, you don't have many college classes or advanced classes. This makes college readiness difficult. A perk about the small school, although, is the community. Everyone knows you and you have a lot of support from fellow students, teachers, parents, etc.

High School Senior: Basketball at St. Paul was my favorite experience. We had competitive practices, but no one disrespected their teammate. We were able to win a tournament the school had never won in their history and we won it three years in a row. Throughout the season, we kept God in the forefront of our minds and played our best for his glory, win or lose. I now go back to help coach and show the upcoming teams how to keep Christ the center of all they do while teaching them fundamental basketball.
