Alum: I’ve went to South Webster since the 7th grade so I’ve been there for awhile. I’ve been to many school here in Ohio as elsewhere. South webster is the only school that seemed to actually care about me/ it’s students. I’ve had a very bad home life and just the support from the teachers/ all staff was just amazing. They have given me food, money for gas to get to school, and so much more. South Webster will always have a special place and my heart and I hope one day my kids will be able to also call themselves a Jeep for life. Senior: At Notre Dame High School, I have met many new people at such a small school. Everybody knows each other and it is easy to get along with all people. The teachers are very close to the students and will help you outside of the class period if needed. I am a part of various sports including volleyball, basketball, and tennis. The coaches are very understanding, great in instructing the sports they are part of and are like our second parents who take their time to get to know each and every one of the players, no matter what sport. On the other side, the building has been in the same location for years. It needs to be remodeled and cleaned. The school could also hire a new cook. Senior: My experiences at Clay High School have been nothing short of memorable, exciting and overall rewarding. The faculty and staff are engaging and willing to help with whatever situation you may have. The student body is exciting, polite, welcoming, and ready to learn. Alumni often come back to give to our community and donate so that we may have the resources to continue our long tradition of academic and sport achievement. Our sports teams are extremely talented and accomplished. Our music program is one of the best in the area and put on multiple performances each year. Although a small school, our facilities are top-of-the-line, we have clean halls and floors, we don't allow smoking or vaping outside, we have a large gymnasium and cafeteria, and beautiful baseball/softball fields. Each student at Clay has a Chromebook connected to our fast internet to assist them in their educational endeavors. Overall, if I could sum Clay High into one word it would be, success.... Senior: I have loved my time at Green it's a very small school in a very small community but that's kind of what I love about it. The small town feel means everyone knows everybody. Senior: I love this school, which is why it's the only school I've been to in my academic career. The school has its ups and downs. First off the staff are great, very nice and welcoming people. The teachers usually do whatever it takes to reassure that you're coming out of their class more knowledgeable. The downsides have to be the facilities, the building is around 100+ years old and has had renovations but a entirely new building is what's desperately needed, but it is a charter school so you'll have that I guess.... Senior: While West Portsmouth is a smaller school, it is certainly welcoming. It is a school for a tight knit community that will welcome anyone to the family so long as you approach us with a good attitude. What really shines about our district is our music programs, which are some of the best in Ohio, in my opinion. Making do with little funding we are well known throughout southern Ohio for our Marching Band and Travelling Choir. We've even performed with the Irish band "We Banjo Three" on multiple occasions.
