Steamboat Mountain School
- Private School
- Steamboat Springs, CO
Parent: There is no school like Steamboat Mountain School! The longevity of the faculty, the care of the faculty for the success of their students, the curriculum, the matriculation, and of course the campus, makes this THE IDEAL private, boarding school for anyone looking for an A+ boarding school!
If one is considering a first-rate education, accompanied by a first-class alpine ski program, then Steamboat Mountain School is A MUST! We could not be happier with the skiing success of our son, and the coincident educational training!
If you are considering Steamboat Mountain School, you will be making an excellent choice!

Alum: Overall, I had a great high school career here! It was everything I could hope for in a high school - the teachers are fantastic, and everyone is really kind, even across social barriers (such as jocks and band geeks). They also are famous for their great treatment of handicapped students - they often got to be homecoming royalty, and were treated very kindly by all types of people there.
My only complaint is that as a co-founder of the marching band, the school tends to not give much attention or money to the music program despite its outstanding record and awards won every year. Even when students got to travel the world based on musical achievement or the band went to state championships in multiple areas, there were no announcements unless we pushed the administration.

Niche User: There are quite a few things I like about Steamboat Springs High School. One of them being that they focus greatly on the education of their students. As a result of them being so dedicated to providing the best teaching experience as possible, they are preparing their students for education after high school. As a graduate from the high school, I can say that because of the way I was taught, I was able to excel in my current classes in college. However, if I were to change one thing about the high school, it would have to be the parking lot. It is not big enough for everyone to use. Other than that, there isn't anything else I would change.

Soroco High School
- South Routt School District No. RE-3, CO
Senior: I have been enrolled in SOROCO since elementary school and I have nothing but good things to say about most of the school. With the little money available for the district, the teachers have managed to do an excellent job preparing kids for college or for a career. The biggest problem I have experienced is that the school doesn't have enough money to pay teachers a competitive salary compared to neighboring schools in Steamboat. Over the years we have lost some great teachers because of this.

Hayden High School
- Hayden School District No. Re-1, CO
High School Senior: Hayden is a very small town. When driving through it, if you blink you may miss it. I transferred here my junior year and it was the easiest transition I have experienced. All of the teachers and staff were extremely nice and helped me feel right at home. I bonded very quickly with friends and there are times we forget I haven't been here since kindergarten. Everybody is so close is amazing. The average class size is about twenty five students. The classroom sizes are about twelve kids. I love the small classes. There is more one on one time with the teacher and it is easier to move at a fast pace. It feels like one big extended family at times. I wish I would have been here since kindergarten. I am so proud to be a Hayden Tiger.
