Ottawa-Glandorf High School

Senior: My experience at Ottawa-Glandorf High School was fun and educational. Even though Ottawa-Glandorf is serious about the academics, the school still likes to make sure that the students here are having fun and have plenty of opportunities to engage in. I feel more confident about college because the administration frequently scheduled meetings, and helped us set up our applications and transcripts. The school culture at Ottawa-Glandorf is studious and friendly. There is rarely a problem with students starting fights or causing problems for the school. Another thing I like about the student culture is that we are accepting of anyone. If there was one thing I would change about Ottawa-Glandorf High School, I would have to be the sports. I think Ottawa-Glandorf needs more sports to choose from, such as lacrosse or badminton. Overall, I'm happy to be attending Ottawa-Glandorf High School and I'm proud to be a Titan.

Kalida High School

Senior: My experience with Kalida High School has been great academically and extracurricular-wise. One thing I’d like to see change is perhaps having more diversity in classes or certain subjects, but it is smaller, so I understand how it is more difficult to do so.

Senior: Miller City High School is a great school that will prepare you for your future. Its small size allows everyone to know everybody, and they treat each other like family. Bullying is a realitively rare occurance, and teachers are respected with authority. The classes offered give students the knowledge they need to do well after school.
Miller City High School offers college credit courses that count towards students' freshman year of college and even as a sophmore in college. These classes include several Engineering, Medical, Writing, Economic, and Government classes.
The teachers know us by our name. They connect with us by revealing personal experiences they have encountered throughout their lives. They want you to succeed, but they will not just give you the grade you want. They expect you to fully participate in class to learn and grow as a knowledgeable person. They are very good teachers, and the only way you dont succeed is if you choose not to.

As a student here at CGHS, I am not lying when I say that I not woken up ready to start learning from the great staff that is teaching me what I need to learn for my future. The teachers will help you make up what you have missed when you are gone. They are also very helpful when you are having trouble in their class, you never feel like you are taking up their time with a 'dumb' question. They are always ready to help when you are struggling.

Parent: Leipsic High School is a very diverse high school which is a great asset to lead students into life after high school. The students and staff members are very respectful to each other. LHS offers college credit plus courses with no student fees, this is very unique to the district as most neighboring schools charge for the CCP course work. Students participate in multiple extra-curricular activities so it is very impressive that the students are able to maintain a great GPA and participate in the activities.

Continental Local High School
#7 Best Public High Schools in Putnam County
- Continental Local School District, OH
- 17 reviews
Senior: I have lived in Continental for 18 years. The town as well as the school is very small and close knit. Everyone is very involved in all the activities and clubs here. I am involved in four sports, the drama department, NHS, and homecoming decorating. Everyone is always running back and forth from home to school to make it to all their practices. Here, everyone knows who everyone is and knows what they are up to. It can be a bit bothersome every once and a while, but I like to know who everyone is in the hallways instead of seeing people I have never met, on a daily basis. The class sizes are very small which helps with concentration. Nobody is afraid to ask questions because if they are struggling, then normally, everyone else is too. I wish there were more opportunities through the school, but I can't complain otherwise!
