Senior: At Pueblo County High School, students may learn and have a great time. There, you will acquire excellent information that can direct you toward the college major you desire. Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, and Agriculture are just a few of the classes they provide. The school makes several attempts to sustain these exceptional classes and to support your college plans. On the other side, you can participate in a variety of the extracurricular programs. There are organizations such as Gay Straight Alliance, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Literary Club. These groups allow students to communicate with one another and express their personalities which helps people come together. Veterans Day ceremonies, fundraising efforts to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation and other major events are just a few things our school does collectively. Junior: As I go into my Junior year at Centennial, I have no regrets about attending. Most of the students are involved in programs/clubs, and the counselors are always pushing to help get more students involved. The counselors are always honest and help us achieve our dreams while also making backup plans. The teachers are typically either amazing or terrible, there really isn't an in between but the experienced teachers typically perform better (unsurprisingly). Senior: While it's a smaller school, Swallows is an amazing school. The teachers and staff are all extremely kind, respectful, and helpful towards the students, and the same applies to the school administration. Swallows also offers a Concurrent Enrollment program, which I have personally benefitted from. The program allows high school sophomores to enroll in the local Pueblo Community College, and earn their associate's degree upon graduating high school. Alum: Pleasant View was a great fit for me! Through this school I became interested in the STEM field as they offer countless classes within this field such as a Robotics class and even a general engineering class (Gateway to technology -GTT). This program feeds right into the School of Engineering and Biomedical Sciences at Pueblo County. I felt I was prepared for high school and made a smooth transition. Middle School Student: As a student, I like that the teachers try to make learning fun. They also teach us some stuff we would need to know in real life. The only thing I would like to see change is the faculty's attitude. They are more focused on our shirts being untucked than how we are doing in school. Senior: The last four years being an Eagle have been absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is incredible, and the students in the building are a big family no matter the grade level. East High School represents and gives educational chances to the East side of Pueblo while spitting out astonishing student athletes. I have made forever bonds with people that I thought I would never be friends with or understand. The staff is incredible too! The teachers are very friendly and always willing to help. East High School prepares students for college with their IB Diploma program, and thus teaches students many values. East High School has always been a school of student athletes, we have students that have traveled to Delaware, California, Utah, and many other places!
