Sophomore: I absolutely love this school! The teachers and students are friendly and there is an amazing sense of community. It is very diverse. The sports are pretty good and it is a very competitive school. They also have many clubs and extracurricular activities to enjoy if you don't participate in sports. The curriculum and classes are very good. They have AP, Honors, and College Prep classes. This school truly prepares you for a life after high school with an amazing school counselor. They are also very strong in their Catholic Faith. They have a chapel with a priest and theology teacher available to talk to you any time you need it. Sophomore: I loved D H Conley and all of the peers and teachers I have met there, it is a positive environment even though it has less focus on the arts as opposed to sports and has lackluster facilities. I feel like the teachers truly want me to succeed and there are lots of class options including advanced placement and college courses using the college and career promise program. Junior: I have really enjoyed my time at Junius H. Rose high school. I transferred to Rose for my junior year and the students and teachers have all been kind and welcoming. The classes at Rose differ in difficulty, a lot of advanced placement classes are offered as well as standard and honors courses. This allows students to experiment and find a workload balance that works for them and their schedules. There are a lot of activities, sports, and clubs to join at the school and they do a good job at making sure the students are aware of various opportunities occurring. Senior: Innovation Early College has allowed me to pursue and chase after my dreams. The staff and administrators are truly supportive and want to see everyone succeed. Parent: Great school that provides an amazing education. CCS has a very close nit student body. Athletics has improved with state champions in cross country and swimming. Middle School Student: I loved AG Cox, I mean middle school is not an easy time for anyone but the school was a good place. It had a lot of character. It was the oldest school in the district and you could see it in the cracks in the floor and the old look and smell. I liked this part of the school, I thought it gave it something more, like a history you could really feel. The teachers there were lovely, very caring and hard working. Some of the teachers had been there for a long time and you could tell they really cared about you and your education. No one likes middle school, so I’m not going to say it was the best part of my life or anything; but it was an important part. It really gave me a lot. It gave me lessons not just in education but in life. It gave me the closest friends I’ve ever had. It gave me teachers that have helped shape me. And it gave me memories. Alum: I loved Greenville Christian Academy. I believe that it was a great christian environment, if someone is looking for that kind of environment. I do not believe GCA should change any of their ways of doing things. Their teachers were physically and emotionally involved, which is great as a student who needs that to be able to learn. Senior: Overall my experience at South Central High School was great! Freshmen year I was a regular student, went to school and came home. Middle School Student: I have been going here since the school first opened and it has been an amazing experience. There have been some minor flaws. Like not having an actual cafeteria and a small gym. But the classrooms are a great size for around 20 to 30 students. Most of the teachers have been amazing. The one thing I like about the teachers is that some of them can go into real detail about the lesson. I would say that the school food isn't the best quality for the students.The food comes in little packages, there not warm. I would say they could work on that. But these are just little minor's. Overall, this school has been a great school and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to be at school that is kind of private and has great people in it.... Read 2 reviews
