Parent: My Child is in the Marching Band and Jazz Band. Through great instruction from the RFHS instructors, he made it to Honor Band and Solo Ensemble. What's important is to hear each professional judge compliment my Son's Band and Jazz teachers praise for how they inspire and work with him to perform at his best. So, I too give the RFHS praise for the great music/band program they offer.

Senior: Wayland is a great experience for all students! The student body is less than 200 students and about half of the students are international. Overall, there are students from 32 different countries, which makes this school very diverse compared to all the public schools and many other boarding schools in the nation.
The Academy becomes strict when it comes to academics; They treat the school as if it were a college. The average class size is 14 students per class. With the class size being very small, there is more 1 on 1 times with the teacher during or outside of class.
Although athletics might not be the best, it is good for students to be able to get lots of playing time on the field or court, even though they are not a star player. There are also many clubs and other activities outside of athletics.
Overall, I think Wayland is a great school and I definitely recommend it!

Spring Valley High School
2 Best Public High Schools in Pierce County
- Spring Valley School District, WI
Senior: A very small school that is very one on one with students due to the fact that there are only about 10-20 kids per class. There is not a very wide range of classes to take at any time during the day so there are a ton of scheduling issues for classes you want to take versus classes you have to take. The teachers are really good with helping out the students because there are so few students per class and they know the students more personally.

Prescott High School
3 Best Public High Schools in Pierce County
- Prescott School District, WI
Senior: Prescott High School has truly prepared me for college, in my opinion. The teachers work very hard to ensure that all students have the same opportunities and are doing the best they possibly can. The only problem I have is that Prescott is extremely focused on the sports, more so than the arts. Also, the mistreatment of the drama department is deplorable. Why build a brand new auditorium that the drama department cannot use?

Ellsworth High School
5 Best Public High Schools in Pierce County
- Ellsworth Community School District, WI
Junior: Personally, I have been to several schools, ranging from small to large. I was always a decent student, A's and B's. To be honest, I didn't care about school. But when I transferred to the Ellsworth High School, things changed. I got more dedicated to my studies and participated in more activities. Ellsworth made me feel at home. The students along with the staff are very supporting and understanding. The teachers take their time with each student who is struggling or in general just need help. The teachers show that they care about their students and love teaching. I take great pride to say I attend Ellsworth High. I love it here. We are a big family.
