Alum: The school was amazing. There were so many opportunities given there. If a class didn't fit your schedule, they would do what they could so that you could still get in. The teachers truely cared about where their students were going. You were always able to recieve help if you asked for it. Their sports and extra curricular activities were lead by dedicated parents and teachers. They all tried to make a difference as well as positive impact on the students at the school. Everyone cared about the success of every student...

Parent: As a parent, there is nothing more important to me than watching my children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. While I believe NHCA has the whole student in mind, it is all secondary if we have our priorities right. Watching my Kindergartener sing her heart out for Jesus on the worship team is just one the best things I could ask for as a momma. It is also comforting to know and feel like we all have the same goal. I know my children are being poured into daily, prayed for, loved, and are getting the attention they need academically to thrive. In a world that speaks loud, may our children remain focused on the One who created them –to know that their identity is in Christ and we are called to GO make a difference in this world all for the glory of God. We are very thankful for the opportunity to attend & partner with NHCA!...

Senior: Throughout the past four years of my time at Teays Valley High School, I have grown to love the staff members and other students, for they are friendly and highly supportive. Since the high school is based in a small rural town, it makes it so that the community feels close-knit and warm. It is quite easy to get to know everyone, especially when someone like myself has been attending the same school district for thirteen years. I will say, however, that there is a strong agricultural influence that might not be for everyone; students even drive to tractors to school once a year. There is not much diversity, but the hearts of my peers are warm nonetheless. Being a member of the band, I have been surprised by the kindness that football players and cheerleaders have given to me. Additionally, I have succeeded in multiple honors classes thanks to the teachers who instruct in a patient and nurturing way...

Junior: Personally I believe the school has changed a lot and a lot of improvements have been made since 2015/2016. There has been more decoration on the walls and school lunches have been improved. There are a few teachers who truly don’t care but overall i’ve been with many teachers who don’t only care about academics but how you’re actually doing. Also I don’t like the politics of everything. If somebody has a certain last name and it happens to be a family who helps out with a lot of money they get off the hook easier or they get whatever they want athletics wise. It all kind of sucks especially when you work harder than them but they still get whatever you want. Overall it’s a good school though...
