Marion Local High School
1 Best Public High Schools in Mercer County
- Marion Local School District, OH
Alum: I love the community feeling of Marion Local. Every teacher knows every student, and all of the students know each other. The only downfall of Marion Local is that there is almost no diversity, causing a major culture shock when students move away for college. However, due to the school's location and the town's background, I realize it is hard to have diversity.

High School Junior: Our school not only teaches from books and online, but we are taught to find ourselves too. The staff is great they encourage us to do our best, and we students are all comfortable to talk to teachers about any issues. The students are even awesome they are very welcoming and sociable and if I had to retake high school I would definitely go back to St. Henry High School.

Fort Recovery High School
4 Best Public High Schools in Mercer County
- Fort Recovery Local School District, OH
High School Senior: My experience at this is school has been one to remember! I've had some of the best memories down each hallway and most of the classrooms. The lunches are home cooked the majority of the time which catches many visitors attention. There are large canvases placed around the school which draws everyone's eye. With that said, it is a great way to show that the school's spirit is constantly being praised. All students are supportive of clubs, sports teams, band and color guard, and just every activity imaginable. Another great feature is the equipment used. All televisions are flat screens mounted among the walls, smart boards that allow a more effective way of learning, and personal laptops given to all students in the high school. Fort Recovery High School is definitely a top school in the county and I would recommend to anyone.

Parkway High School
- Parkway Local School District, OH
Freshman: The thing that i love about Parkway is how everyone knows everyone. It's a small community and it seems as if everyone is friends. Not only that, but Parkway is known for its academic excellence. What I wish would change is the racial diversity. Also, I wish the food served was better.
