Watford City Elementary School
Parent: I was cynical about sending my son to Watford City Elementary School due to the lower test scores the school has had. However, my son's kindergarten year has been excellent and he is actually reading well above his own grade level. Teaching staff is excellent.
I attribute the low test score issue to the town being the center of the oil boom which attracts a highly vagrant population where kids get shuffled around and not a lot of emphasis gets placed on academics and literacy at home.
Anyhow, don't blame this school. They've done well given increased enrollment. Administration could be more efficient, but anytime I've had to bring something up, it's been addressed with some followup.
