Parent: We have had such a positive experience with Washington High School. The small town atmosphere makes it a place where administration and faculty take a vested interest in the kids and continuously encourage them to strive for excellence. They are still able to say prayers before football games, celebrate military recognition, allow God's name to be spoken anywhere, and openly pray for families/students experiencing difficult trials. Not only have my kids received a great education, they have received tools valuable to succeed in life. I love this school and would recommend it to anyone wanting their children to develop into responsible, morally sound, caring individuals. Thank you administration of Washington High School!... Alum: I really enjoyed my four years I got to spend at Blanchard High School. I spent four years participating in yearbook, and had the best advisor I could ask for. Academics are not incredibly challenging, only specific teachers prepare for students for the "college" life. As for diversity, it is a small town. A lot of the students have similar backgrounds. Sports are worshipped at this school, and at times during my experience ruled over education. Middle School Student: My name is Madison Jarvis and Will be attending school here! I Have a 99.9% Chance that I will Love it here! From the outside, I can already tell it is super big and awesome inside. I also love that Physical Education , or P.E. , Is actually connected to the building, Because it in Intermediate and elementary , They both have separate buildings, and i didn't like that and let me tell you why. If we had P.E. That day and it was pouring outside we would have to walk out INTO it, and have to wait for our P.E. teacher to unlock the door. Let me remind you In a Line with 24 kids, so half of that line is going to be under the roof and half drenched. I will write another review in January to say how things are going.... Read 1 review

Senior: I have gone to Newcastle since second grade. It is a small school system, so I have grown up with almost all my peers. I met my best friend, in third grade, and I would not trade anything for the friendship we have. I have made so many memories to football games to my third grade crush. I really love that at Newcastle we are all like a big family. Yes, I might not be friends with a lot of people, but I can stop and talk to anyone and everyone here. High school has been adventure, especially with Covid. Even with not being able to attend all the time, we all found a way to still connect. We had zoom meetings and groups chats. I love the family that this high school gave me. Newcastle high school is taught by mainly coaches. These coaches seem to not care about our education much. This has led to students not getting the full knowledge we need. If I would change anything, it would be to get better educated teachers. They have really good teachers and really good clubs and other things for students to get involved with during and outside of school. Some of the things I would like to see changes in some rooms.
