Senior: Palacios High School is a special school. It's a school that embraces diversity while also helping students overcome adversity. It's a school that's staff that pushed their students to be the most successful versions of themselves, and to see the world not always as it is, but as it could be. Nothing is perfect, and neither is Palacios High School, but the changes that could be made to school would certainly help it to get there. There are so many certification programs that the school offers, from IT to H/VAC. However, there should be more of those programs, so that every student—whether they be looking towards a four year university or simple certification—will be able to acquire these certifications and use them as a foundation and gateway to success. There also needs to be more programs for students who are cast off as the failures—the ones nobody believes will graduate, let alone make it to college—because Palacios High School believes all students are capable of success.... Parent: Van Vleck ISD is a fantastic school. My boy attend this school and have had a wonderful educational experience over the past 3,5 years. The teachers are second to none and the administrative staff is excellent. My husband and I love the whole brain teaching methods and see the results in our boy after multiple years. Senior: Tidehaven is a remote school far away in the county. My experience with Tidehaven is often good while some things seem odd i do love the staff and most of the kids there. I can personally say the arts department has come a long way from what it used to be and that management of band is coming back from the dirt when the old managment left. Niche User: As the phrase goes, "It takes a village to raise a child", and we couldn't be happier Holy Cross Catholic School is a big part of our village. Our grandchildren are fourth generation students at Holy Cross and the decision to send them there was an easy one. In the everchanging world we live in, we are fortunate to have a private school in our town. Safety and security, a challenging curriculum and presence of God in the everyday teachings are a few of the reasons why we think the school is special. Not to mention, creating firm foundations in our children and strengthening their Christian beliefs. The teachers at Holy Cross are there because they want to be there and they teach from the heart. You can choose to make a difference in your children's lives by giving them the opportunity of a Catholic education and a loving environment in which to learn.
