Senior: I really have enjoyed my time at Marquette. Overall it is a great school that I am glad I am able to graduate from. Though I have made many lasting memories and have enjoyed my time, Marquette can sometimes be not so great. During my sophomore year we went through 2 geometry/trigonometry teachers and were left without a geometry teacher for about a month during the second semester before a replacement was found. I would say the amount of new teachers and the constant changing of teachers would be Marquette’s biggest fault. They’re really not the greatest at being able to keep their teachers and I have found that quite troublesome. High School Junior: I am having a great time at this school. We have student artwork and awards in the halls all the time. We offer so many classes that I kind of wish I had another year to take more. We are constantly adding more and more classes. For instance, next year we have a new conspiracy theory class that I want to take. We have a great layout for the school, with only really one or two hallway crowds despite having 500 extra students this year. I also wish that teachers pushed me more when I was a freshman because it kind of sunk my GPA. If I had to go back as a freshman, I wouldn't have spent so much time gossiping and blowing of homework, and instead paying attention in biology and literature. I probably also would have had my schedule changed as a sophomore because I got into some altercations with like 10 different students.... Read 2 reviews

Freshman: I really enjoy attending NPHS! I feel like there are a lot of great resources available to students that help us however we may need. There are opportunities for students who are struggling to get extra help from teachers, whether that be a deeper dive into a lesson or time to do make-up work. We have amazing sport teams who are all very supportive to new people. There are also many different extracurricular activities for kids who may not enjoy sports, such as Spanish club or Academic Super Bowl (among others). Senior: Overall I had a great experience attending La Porte High School. If you are a determined and ambitious student then La Porte is a good choice for you. There is a wide variety of pathways that are offered to me in order to complete my academic requirement. Some of which included Advanced Childhood Development and Advanced Placement Psychology. These two courses allowed me to gain hands-on experience in relation to all the career options I have considered pursuing. It not only allowed me to prepare myself for college and my career to the best of my ability, but it helped me realize my passion for helping people and my interest in the understanding of the human psyche. There were also many courses on other subjects such as fine arts courses and journalism courses that helped me determine some of the subjects that I loved but were nothing compared to my love of childhood development and psychology.... Alum: The school was huge when it came to diversity! I made many friends from multiple backgrounds. The school spirit made you feel alive especially during football season. There was always something to get involved with during and after school. There were programs that helped you get ahead if you wanted as well. College readiness was one of the top goals at this school. Our teachers were always trying to get us prepared. They actually cared about us and our futures. Students got time to go into a teacher's class, sit down with them during lunch, and converse. We got a chance to build relationships with the faculty. Everyone loved our resource officer who was well known in the city. He took our safety so serious that he even views us like his own children. The lunch ladies were the best to me! We got extra food and positive energy daily from them. MCHS made me feel like I was at home. I felt welcome when I walked in. No one judged you because we all kind of came from the same place....
