Senior: South Eugene High School is a great public school that values student growth and development. The many AP Classes, College Now Programs, and CTE options have helped me and many others prepare for the college and make the transition from high school to college much smoother. There are many sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities at South, so there are many opportunities to make friends and have a fun school experience. As a transgender student, I appreciate the care teachers take to make me feel welcome and accepted in their classrooms. Despite the many clubs and activities, there isn't a lot of time relegated for them as South is very academically focused. Students have to find time during lunch and after school, and usually can't meet up more than once per week. Alum: Roosevelt Middle School is a celebrated public school situated in the heart of the Willamette Valley. It is home to some of the strongest academic programs at the middle school level in its area– at just a few blocks from the local university and high school, students can take upper-level classes with ease. It is known for its outstanding arts program and has sent many alumni on to impressive careers onstage and in the studio. The STEM department is full of supportive and genuinely kind teachers, whose expertise uniquely qualifies them to make learning fun for all students. Alum: Marist is the best high school in Eugene. It offers a family atmosphere and an unparalleled opportunity for academic, athletic, social, and spiritual growth. I took full advantage of the Honors/AP/College Now courses it offers. In addition to building critical thinking skills, I was fortunate to enter college as a Sophomore based on credits earned from these classes! Attentive teachers and small class sizes ensure no student is left behind. Thanks to Marist, I felt well prepared for the rigors of a collegiate course load. Its holistic approach to education sets it apart from the rest of the area schools. Almost every student participates in multiple sports/clubs. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience as a member of the football and golf teams, in addition to the Christian Leadership Class and Retreat Team. My development in these areas was every bit as impactful as my classroom experience, and learning how to balance academics with extracurriculars was critical to my collegiate success.... Alum: My years in middle school were some of the best years of my life. I am extremely grateful to have gone to Ridgeline Montessori for 9 years, and middle school was an excellent ending to the experience. Since our class was only 30 people large, I grew strong and lasting friendships in middle school, I felt a real sense of community. This was essential to my growth in confidence in seventh and eighth grade. Playing ukulele in middle school is just one example of the priceless skills I learned in this time. Middle School Student: It's been a fun experience but it has had it's ups and downs. Most of the teachers are really great but there are a couple that I wouldn't mind to see gone. I haven't developed any great friendships but the community is mostly kind. There is definitely bullying as with any school but it's shown a lot less. The diversity is very bad, there are an extremely small amount of people of color, but they are not treated badly. Overall pretty cool school.... Read 1 review

Other: I very much enjoyed my experience with North Eugene high school. Kids will be kids and that’s just about the only bad thing I have to say. Some of the teachers are very hit or miss whether or not you like them, but I can say, I like the majority of my teachers. My chemistry teachers taught me stuff that I used to help my sister in her college level a chemistry classes. Alum: Overall, attending Sheldon High School from grade nine through twelve was fantastic. I was enrolled in the International High School program, where I was able to keep the same classmates for the duration of my four years. The staff was attentive and truly cared for their students. They helped when they could, and when they needed assistance, they outsourced and always came back to you with an answer or suggestion. Alum: Creswell High School has undergone many changes in the last few years, especially after covid hit. The staff and students worked very good together to get used to the new things such as new curriculum and new teachers. The classes offered at the school are amazing and are taught by some of the best teachers i’ve ever had. The sports teams are also another key part of creswell high school, and a lot of people are brought together by our sports teams. I just graduated from the high school and I feel as if I had so much support from the staff, and they really were focused on helping me be able to graduate and helped me get ready to move on to the next part of my life.
