Senior: I have gone to Munster High School for all four years of high school. I'm proud to say i will be graduating from here. Munster acadamics is ahead of most other local schools even in the elementry schools. I remember transferring into the Munster School System in 3rd grade and realizes my old school was almost a grade level behind. The students already knew multipulation from 2nd grade and i have yet to learn past multiples of five. Munster provides great resources for students. They provide a club or sport for everyone to feel included. They provide an experience you will remember acadamically and non-acadamically. On a downside, i have had multiple experiences that they hired teachers that did not belong. Many teachers were fired or quit due to the high standards or the pressure from students that demand their education. Middle School Student: Overall had a good experience in terms of the education. There were a good amount of dedicated, focused, inspiring teachers. The teacher had very engaging lessons, along with going above and beyond, helping students personally to help understand the material in front of them. Of course, like most schools, not everything is perfect. The benefits the school, although, outweighs the bad. There is a good environment for extracurricular activities at Wilbur Wright Middle school, always ranking high in their class. Parent: My son has come so far at Timothy Ball. He also has such a fun time learning, both at home and school. Anything that happens or changes with him, I know immediately. Parent: I can’t praise DME enough. This school really is amazing and it’s due to the staff there. The Principle(Ms Buchko) is a great listener & great with all of the students. She’s never too busy to help anyone in need. The secretaries will smile when you walk in and The custodian (Mike), I’ve seen this man put his mop down to talk to a student who was having a rough day,he asked if students wanted to help him paint a backdrop for last years fifth grade musical using his own paint &recycled boards.He also has games during lunch to help 1 graders learn their spelling words.They have a great counselor that helps students cope with their emotions. My son has benefited from Mrs Bellamy’s strategies. For being under tremendous pressure the teachers are tops & truly love their students & want them to succeed. Alum: Amazing school! With all the different programs and electives they offer, they sure do a good job with helping their students find out what they're truly interested in. I found a great interest in their radio station and now I go to a wonderful university where I'm pursuing the communications field. Crown Point High definitely has that reputation that makes universities turn their heads! They have very intelligent, kind, and bright teachers and staff at Crown Point, too. Senior: My whole life I knew I was going to attend Andrean. I have had countless cousins that have gone through Andrean and are now Alumnis. Honestly, I anticipated Andrean to be like any other school. The only thing I expected to get from Andrean was a diploma at the end of my four years. However, I quickly learned this school had so much to offer me. I am a senior now, and I am a completely different person than I was 4 years ago. I find myself to be more charitable. Andrean has monthly service projects that allow students to give back to their communities. These opportunities have taught me the power of helping those in need. I am also more organized. Senior: Many fond, warm memories are connected to this school. Lake Central encourages students to step out of their comofort zones, expand social circles, and reach towards new activities rather than shying away. I was able to build my own character through the encouragement these organizations provided, specifically Lake Central's Theatre Coorporation. Character is important in this disctrict, reminding the students of the power of union and staying true to yourself to make smarter choices. Students are even allowed to create their own organizations to connect with others through various specific personal interests such as writing, culture, arts, astrology, chess, etc. Academically, teachers are always trying to reach out to ensure their students' success. A required course titled "Pathway to Excellence" is another outlet that gives studnets the opportunity to lean on teachers and tackle the fields they seem to struggle in.
