Senior: I love the school spirit we have at our school. We have many events to celebrate our football team and many clubs that are involved. In the band, we perform for our hawks and make sure everyone is hyped. Our cheerleading team is always at every game and we even included a new dance team to cheer our football team. We have SGA and varsity club working together setting up our events and getting everyone at our school involved. Alum: As a former student of this school (class of 14') I can highly recommend this school. As it is a magnet school, the admissions process is more selective than other public schools in the area but the school itself pulls students from a much larger area (students do not have to "be zoned" for this school to attend it). I thoroughly enjoyed attended my time here as a student. Although this school does not offer sports (there are many great club programs around the area, and besides, not many standalone elementary schools offer them), there are many other programs that can cater to your children's needs (an award wining robotics program, a STEM team, etc.). My only gripe was with the school's after school care program (mainly the staff), and the lack of a music/arts program. Parent: My children have attended Imagine for 9 years. We moved to Lake county for the sole purpose of having our daughters attend this school and we have never regretted this decision. The teachers are amazing - students are truly valued and known personally by every teacher. The academic rigor is outstanding, one of the very few A schools in the county. My children have excelled and their state test scores have been high across the board. I love the school's attention to character and building great citizens of our community. Senior: This school has many great qualities that parents look for in a private Christian school. The teachers care about their students' academics but they also care about their overall well-being. They always offer extra help by encouraging students to get connected with the tutoring program that is provided, which I am very honored to be a part of. There is a vast quantity of extracurriculars that students can explore and from what I have seen, the sports and music programs at RLCA are very welcoming and students work hard to further their skills together as a team and individually. It has been astonishing to witness so many students furthering their faith at RLCA, especially at Wednesday chapel. Middle School Student: When I went here the teachers were amazing and the overall atmosphere was great for learning and other opportunities though, many things have changed. I feel like many of the good administrators left, and enrichments started to get worse and worse. Learn was always sorta shoved in your face. But one thing they could improve on is the way we learn, I was always ahead because other people were too slow on a certain concept. In my fine two years there they personalized learning was final incorporated into our classrooms and it was great. I really hope they still do that. Honestly I still think is is an amazing school. Senior: I loved my experience at The Villages Elementary. It is a great school that provides students with opportunities to learn and grow from an early age. I met one of my favorite teachers ever while in the fourth grade; we still talk regularly. Fourth grade is also the year I tested for the Florida State Gifted program, which has opened many doors for me today as a high school senior. I also won the calendar cover page of the Sumter County Tobacco program, which was school sponsored. I even got to read my chosen essay to WW2, Korean, Vietnam, and other servicemen for Veterans Day at the Veterans memorial in The Villages. Alum: My experience at Eustis High School was undoubtedly a great one. One thing in particular that stood out to me about Eustis High School was the staff. Whether it is, for example, a teacher or counselor, the staff at Eustis High School is going to take care of you. The teachers at Eustis High School are awesome. My favorite classes were in social studies; the social studies department largely was the reason for this (they, along with the rest of the teaching staff are phenomenal educators and greatly knowledgeable of their subject areas). The counselors are unexplainably helpful; for example, one of the most intimidating things to do is transition from grade school to college; the counselors make sure to take the time to sit down and guide you through the many, new processes. If I could recommend a change, it would simply be to improve the appearance of the campus, but without a doubt, Eustis High School remarkably excels with the resources available. Senior: My experience at Tavares High School I would describe as an interesting one. My class were freshmen when the pandemic first hit, so my time at high started off on rocky grounds. Despite this seemingly impossible situation the teachers at this school made it their rightful duty to ensure that we were still getting the education deemed necessary. Countless power points, guided notes, interactive assignments, these outstanding teachers did not let this one thing stop them from doing their job. As a student going through this change it was definitely an adjustment to make but with the help of the teachers and staff I successfully made it through and I am looking to graduate in just a few months. Senior: Liberty Christian Prep is a school where you make lifelong friends and the teachers/staff truly care about you and want you to grow. The connections I have made at Liberty have encouraged me to go to a Christian college where I can grow my faith and help grow the faiths of others. Everyday at school is amazing. Senior: South Lake is a diverse, athletic, splined school. They always make sure each and every student stay on top of their education. Of course, no school or administrator is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. Thats the key reason the administrators motivate everyone to stay on top of their own education. This is important for every student, especially seniors, it's their last year and it would be devastating for them not to graduate with their class. South lake provides a very wide range of adacemic clubs and organizations for students to join to prepare them for college. They also provide something that many schools dont. SAT/ACT prep classes!
