Niche User: This is the best school around. The teachers and administrators set high expectations for the students starting in kindergarten and continue to challenge students through 5th grade. The have a love for each and every student and it shows in how they teach and interact with the students.

Sands Consolidated School

High School Senior: My overall experience at Sands CISD has been wonderful. The first day of my junior year at Sands was scary. I have been the "new kid" plenty of times in my life and I didn't want people to just stare at me. At first people where staring until class began and within the first ten minutes of class I had already made a friend which is very unlike me. The kids that attend at Sands CISD are very welcoming and friendly that it's unbelievable. They will try to make you feel like you're part of the family because, that's just what we are. Family, we may pick on each other and be unhappy with one another at times but what family isn't unlike that.
If I had to choose a new school all over again I honestly believe that I would choose my current school. Everybody there is just so nice and caring towards one another. The teachers strive to see you succeed in life and if somebody has already graduated and came back to visit the teachers will have a gigantic smile plastered on their face because, they know that they did everything that they possible could to get you where you are now. This is why all of the kids currently at Sands is doing everything that they possibly can to achieve their goals in life.

St. Stephen's Episcopal School

Alum: I loved my time at St. Stephen's. The teachers are exceptional and the lack of AP classes means that they don't just teach to the exams but what is most interesting to them -- which usually translates into much more interesting class time! I felt like I was more prepared than most of my college peers (at an elite school nonetheless!) -- my writing was better, I was better at time-management. The only thing I would change is that at the time the student body was not especially active in clubs/non-sport activities, however I think this is slowly changing.

Coahoma High School
- Coahoma Independent School District, TX
Senior: The great thing about Coahoma High School is the driven motivation for the students education, well-being, and future. They are always pushing us to do better in our daily activities at school and out of school. We have a motto for every school year and this year it is "BFND" and it stands for "Bulldogs Fight, Never Die." It may sound cliche to say, but the motivation is tremendous this year. Students are going above and beyond. As a senior, apart of many clubs and activities, I have seen the student involvement grow. Always positive attitudes and willing to help. The teachers are great as well, I ask them daily for help with college stuff.... like help finding scholarships, calming me down when I am overthinking stuff, and preparing me for bigger things to come. Coahoma High School will always be home to me and I hope it can be a home to many others.

Big Spring High School
- Big Spring Independent School District, TX
High School Senior: If I could do it all over I would choose this school without a second thought. My favorite experiences have mostly been sports related such as competing/traveling, bonfires, pep rallies and of course, football games. This school is unique because our diversities are what unite us. We embrace everyone and enjoy coming together. When I look back, I will remember the struggles with teachers and other faculty but the few good memories will outshine them.
