Senior: I came to Hillsdale Academy my freshman year not knowing a single person or a single thing about the school and the community. I am now a senior and have spent the last 4 years of my life at the greatest school and with the greatest people I know. The purpose of a Hillsdale Academy education is to cultivate children to live lives of virtue and wisdom, to seek truth in a world full of confusion, to understand and strive for what is excellent in this life. I come out of this school as a better person than I was before. Not only has my education here bettered my understanding of the world, my time in the sports program has made me a mentally and physically stronger person. My coaches and teammates helped me discover a new passion and push myself to be more than I thought I was capable of. Senior: I enjoyed my 4 years attending WCA a lot. There are a lot of fun activities, family involvement, and a good focus on academic achievement. There are a lot of good staff members there to support you, and a decent variety of classes and electives to choose from. The only things I would like to see change would be the music program having better funding, the students being able to see their grades in powerschool themselves (as opposed to needing to ask a teacher), a better system of preparing students for standardized testing, and possibly the addition of a program for children with dyslexia or other learning challenges many students face. I really appreciated the opportunities and support I received in highschool. And would definitely recommend to families in or around Hillsdale.... Read 11 reviews

Works Here: I have been an employee at HPS for two years. The small class sizes, individualized help, family atmosphere, caring staff and administration, and positive character traits that are taught to the students are just a few reasons why I love HPS. I have always felt like my opinion matters and counts. The administration is very supportive, helpful, and caring towards the staff, students, and parents. Senior: My overall high school experience at Hillsdale High School was excellent! I made so many memories during the past few years there. I was involved in many clubs and made several fun memories with the clubs I joined. A couple of the clubs I was in involved in were National Honor Society, Freshmen Mentor Program, and Key Club. I was also a part of the Track team and played volleyball my Freshman year. I made many friends in these sports and had wonderful coaches who were very supportive. Senior: I have attended Waldron School my whole life. I have gotten along with most of the teachers there and even still stay in touch with a few now that aren't there anymore. Most of the staff is always willing to work with you and be there when you need them. They do their best to stay as calm as possible in tough situations and sometimes that can be hard for them. Overall I would say that Waldron Area Schools is a great, safe place for you children to get the education that they need and even more so meet great people that will stick by their side for a lifetime....
