Harnett Central High School
Senior: As a school in a relatively impoverished district, there are naturally issues with the way Harnett Central functions. Resources are not always available, and when they are, the students are not always informed or encouraged to use them. Funding focuses mostly on sports and as a musician, I wish the arts received more attention. Some classes, specifically AP classes, are limited to one semester when they should be more. This, combined with the lack of resources, leaves students and teachers stressed about the curriculum, and test scores do not always reach their full potential.
Despite this, the school thrives due to the passion of the teachers and staff. Almost every single teacher I've had, especially AP, has truly cared about their students and provided resources personally, not offered by the school, to help us succeed. My experience at this school has been positive due mainly to the teachers and the opportunities they give us.... Read 241 reviews
